a good friend of mine is a photographer and wanted to shoot me... so I did. I was nervous and and uncomfortable, but out of 600 or so shots we found a few fair ones.

LOL dude I am from the midwest. I have only lived here for 8 yrs. You would be surprised though I don't speak to a lot of people with an accent here. You will hear it in small towns, but not often here in the city.

one of my best friends is from sugarland.....
my cousin is from cypress and another one of my cousins is married and lives there now (by Rice university).

my best friend definetely has a partial accent. and my cousin from cypress pretty much dropped his, but he used to have it. used to say "yall" all the time

italian is like greek.

it has its entirely own flavor.

granted, if you want to get down to the nitty gritty every single country is very different (i.e. in hispanic culture you can't compare a cuban to a colombian, etc)

but its hard to classify italian as "white". generally speaking, when most people think white they think irish, german, dutch, scandanavian, etc. Even french is more white than italian

they don't think greek, italian, or spanish (from spain). but if you meet most spainards, most are very white and european looking just like a majority of italians from italy. obviously many northern italians have blonde hair and blue eyes, and could be considered "white" but generally speaking they're not.

the darker you are, the less likely you are to be white.

IMHO it's a compliment for italians to be categorized differently. by far the most loyal, honest and straightforward people you will ever meet. many of my best friends and closest business associates have been italian. I think i embraced the culture so much, thats why 90% of people assume i'm italian myself.you always know you can count on them if you're equally as loyal. and of course i'm partial to italian girls :) :) :)

I'm mixed with urrything.

But my latino side=Spanish & Mezzican. I think Native American (part cherokee & part navajo) should count as latino but that's justt mii.

Charlie Sheen being a primary example. Most of the spainiards and porutuguese I work with have dark hair and eyes with olive skin, but many of them have fair skin and hair and lighter eyes. In the US when we think of latino we are familiar with latino mixed with indigineous population (native americans).

When people in the US refer to white folks I think many are really thinking WASP folks.
