Photo Facials...

Never had one but I am going for face peels. Mild ones where you peel a little bit about 2 to 4 days after, kind of like you would from a mild sunburn. I'm very happy with it. Only had one done so far, have another scheduled the day before Thanksgiving. I'll be going in for a total of 7 treatments probably. I've had some mild acne/clogged pores on my jawline and this will hopefully end it. I already saw a big improvement with just the one treatment I hd 2 months ago. It seemed to make my pores a bit smaller too. Maybe I'll have some diminished wrinkles.

I had it done and I think I'm going to REALLY like the results.

I had some patchy brown spots from when I went into the sun on antiobiotics. I got sunburned in a big way.

Anyway, the laser picks up on skin imperfections (brown spots, etc) and breaks them up. It also stimulates collagen so I'm all about that.

It feels like someone is going around your face and smaking it with a rubber band :xeye:

The places where I had brown patches are a little red/bruised but there is no downtime. You can walk out of the procedure and no one could tell. Over the next two weeks my brown patches are supposed to get DARKER and then break up a disappear.

I'll let you know. :chomp:

I got GREAT results with the Photo Facial. :)

Lasers are your friend ;)

Thanks for the update! Do you know if they work on lightening up scars? Also, how much was your treatmemt? It's a one time thing or are you supposed to have more than one treatment?

They say you need several treatments but I got great results with one. I was shocked. I had BLOTCHES from going out in the sun on antibiotics and FRYING my skin. At first I didn't think it really did much but then my blotches turned into a bunch of dark freckles. Then, it just disappeared. I think the laser light zaps the pigment and breaks it up over time. It was around $200.00

I know there is laser stuff for scars. I will ask where I go.

Lasers work for getting rid of all that stuff but you have to be consistent with sunscreen after.

I wish I had taken pictures.

Thanks, hun! I have scars from old and recent surgeries I'd like to lighten up. Ther facial peels are working nicely for my face but I'd love to hit a few other areas as well.

Any info on moles/freckles that can become skin cancers being treated with the photo facials on other areas of the body? I've had 2 boughts wtih skin cancer from what just seemed to be dark freckles. Now I kinda freak every time I notice a new one coming up. Grrrrrrrrrrr...damn this blue eyed Irish/German herritage!

$200 is more than reasonable for that kind of a result Starfish! Too cool. I think any amount of money is worth it if you look in the mirror and just focus on something you can't change on your own and feel bad about yourself. Good for you! I'm glad it worked.
