Go see Pigmy Love Circus this Saturday!! If I didn't already have plans this weekend I'd make a trip out there just for this...

If you didn't know Pigmy Love Circus has none other then Danny Carey of Tool fame as their drummer!

The Pigmies will be performing at THE CLUBHOUSE in Tempe AZ on Saturday, August 28th.

You know their drummer is one of the best alive today?

This is his "side project" little grungy rock band that plays small bars and is a blast to see.

The only thing is it is an all ages show (no drinking?) I will look into it tho...

If you are a Tool fan then this is a MUST SEE. I've seen them 2 times, I got to shake hands with Danny Carey once and I was onstage next to him as he played the other time.

The sound of the band isn't like Tool, its not as refinded, the songs are more straight forward garage rock type stuff... the show is entertaining though, and its usually extremely cheap.. like 10 bucks or something.

they are 12 bucks, not bad at all.... went to see a perfect circle with the wife a ways back... rocked the house wiht a bunch of 32oz beers they served at the venue... it was a blast...

Yeah, A Perfect circle is awesome, they are more Tool'ish then Pigmy Love Circus... but then again A Perfect Circle is much more expensive.

I can't imagine them playing at a place that doesn't serve alcohol though, maybe its all ages but they still serve... who knows.. they are definitely a bar band.

See if you can call ahead too and find out what time they plan on going on.. last couple of times I've seen them they didn't go on until like 11pm... of course these were both 21 and up bar shows with an opener (or two)... so you never know.
