i still havent seen fargo so i dont know what canadians sound like. accent seems similar to american though, but then again you could probably tell the difference really easily if you came from the americas

queens english is just a term used here for the intended use of the eglish language with no colloquisms :) royal accents mispronounce words :)

fucking fargo, do not associate Minnesotan with that, I hate that movie... Only people way up north have that accent.. I have no accent at all (Im a MN)

I haven't heard her talk...but knowing where she is from....I would say that our 'twangs' would be in competition. LOL. Upper east TN is pretty bad, but lower east TN just has some crazy twangs going on.

I try not to sound so twangy when I talk...but it doesn't work.

smalls doesnt seem to have a english part of her b=voice. when i heard it i smiled....partly due to the fact i was playing with myself and partly due to the fact it sounded so different :D
 
And another thing...I always assumed southerners sounded like they just walked off the Springer set. White trash in other words. :)

All I know now is that southern accents sound good. REALLY good. :p

What you have to realize is that around here, everyone sounds like....well, if there was a accent for "shit" it would originate in this part of the world. :D Smalls doesn't sound British pr se...just like she lived there for a frew years or something. "Muddled" is the work I'm looking for, I think.

I like to accentuate mine when northern people are around. It makes them assume you're stupid. You can use that to your advantage.

Actually GK, I've done that before too. When someone is being a total smart ass about me being from the South and assuming that I only get to wear shoes on special occasions and all that crap, I like to put on a bit of country for their benefit. It's actually pretty funny.

And twanginess is not something to be embraced. I have tried to get away from the twanginess that comes with being from my hometown and upper East Tennessee. I don't notice my twanginess quite as much though until I am away from home, then it seems to shine through. Sigh.
