I've got an exam at 8:30 tomorrow, and I can't fucking get to sleep...my sleep cycle is off whack. I'm wondering if there are any chems that won't fuck with me when I wake up (I have 3 mg melatonin (wake up groggy, shallow sleep) and 50 mg 5-hydroxytryptophan (does nothing for me))

Anyone have any suggestions? Stuff that actually works...legal or not :).

I tried to fry my CNS by using extra/higher doses of EC stacks...the crashes are pretty bad but I didn't fuckin crash...I also rubbed one out in bed...nothing.
 
Ambien 5mg, or 10 mg. PREscription.

OR

500mg L-tryptophan 2 to 4 caps before bedtime.

Or up the dose to 100 mg of 5 HTP

OR

Gaba 400mg

dont worry about it too much, i struggle to get 6 hrs before an exam just because of all the info flatin in my head....try to get a bit of coffee, some ginko and glucose sports drink in the morning, the latter have been shown to increase brain ATP

I think L-Tryptophan from food is useless since it can't cross the brain blood barrier with a good enough efficiency to help you fall asleep
 
Ambien is the best I've seen, so far. Knocks you out and absolutely no morning "hangover". Make sure you have at least 6 hrs or else you might sleep thru the alarm.
 
You may wish to call your doc + ask about a new sleep aid that recently coame out - Lunesta. It is a non narcotic, with no tolreance/dependecny issues like Ambien, BZDs, etc. It is approved by the FDA for chronic[more than 6 months] use, and studies have shown it has no drop off effect, or side effect carryover like the others do. You can easily get samples from the doc to try it.
