Leno just started so he should be on in about 30-40 minutes. Im glad he is getting some recognition.

i agree. i saw him on 60 minutes 2-3 weeks back. i'd much rather hear about him than the hype surrounding jessica lynch. i know she's been through a lot, and wish her well. but, all that book-deal and movie-of-the-week shit makes me sick.

And this man actually is a hero.

don't you see?!?! this is what the GNWO is trying to do! wake up sheeple before Bush's minions take over TV by using his military as a cancerous root into brainwashing society! Sheeple!

How many accounts do post with, Sybil?

Which one is he? the guys with the glasses?

lol it was a joke. relax... if it were so, then i'd just click "edit" and delete the post instead of making another "oops" post. :D

Ranger

PFC Miller is awesome.

Thought about offering him a job...maybe later in life.

I'm sorry to be the one to rain on the parade. I was reading Stars and Stripes [news paper], and there was an artical on Jessica Lynch and PFC Miller. Lynch disgusts me. I read on and saw where it says Miller started firing on an enemy position. I find that amazing; however, he stated that when he began to get surrounded by Iraqis he threw his weapon as far as he could, and shouted "You win".

If he still had ammo he was fucking stupid to throw it away. If he didn't then we have a little saying called "Fix bayonets". They're standard issue, and not meant to be used as paper weights, and M-16's double as bludgeons in close combat. He violated Article 2 of the Code of Conduct.

Article II: I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

Few other points I'd like to get out there. Jessica Lynch says she put her head in her hands, and prayed. She must've thought Jesus was going to come off the cross and fire off some rounds for her. Then in the commercial for the Saving Jessica Lynch story it shows where someone says to her "Jessica Lynch we're American soldiers and we're taking you out of here". Then her book title answer "I'm an American Soldier too". I respect all branches of the military, but believe credit should be given where it's due. Fact is U.S. Marines rescued her ass. What's Lynch have to say about it "I wish they hadn't recorded it".

rex,

got a link?

everything I read about Miller was that he fought on.....

Dial Tone can't thank you enough.

After nearly an hour of pinning down the men around the mortar, according to investigators, Miller decided it was time to check his back. He swept around, he said, and fired on an Iraqi approaching along a tree line. "That was the last guy I shot."

When he turned back around, Miller said, numerous Iraqi fighters were closing on him. He threw his rifle as far as he could and raised his hands in the air. "I said, 'OK, you win.' I kind of figured they'd shoot me right there, though."

Well, hard for me to sit behind a computer and criticize too much, but I do know that a Ranger would never surrender - "surrender is not a Ranger word" is part of the creed.

Rex, remember that these guys were transportation soldiers. In the Army, only infantry solderis get training in infantry style combat beyond basic training.

Maybe there is a problem in the training...though I must say that giving him a "Silver Star" is just plain wrong.
