do your pets sleep with you?

i don't mean "lick your nuts", i mean, sleep on your bed.

My cats do. I think we're moving to a king size soon. I have my wife snuggled up close on my right side. And always one of my cats up tight on my left. I love him to death but it's hard sometimes to sleep when you're boxed in like that. BTW Stilleto, how's the foot? Can you see improvement w/ each day? I'm sure you're still pretty restless.

yup- i can't sleep through the night yet. its getting better- i went out to dinner with some friends last night, but it was a little uncomfortable sitting in a chair. still, i was so happy to be out. I'll have to keep my foot up all day to make up for it, but it was nice to be dressed and out and stuff- first real meal i've been able to eat (no appetite till now). i can get around parts of the house without crutches now. :)
anyway, i used to love having my pets sleep with me, but a. the bed gets dirty and I'm a bit of a cleaner, and b. YOU CAN"T TURN OVER. lol. and little pets seem to take up the whole bed.
 
i used to let my dog sleep at the foot of the bed but he started being a little fucking and taking my space waking me up at night and shit, so i kicked him out for good. maybe if it was a smaller dog i could deal with it but a yellow lab mut is too big.
 
Both my weimaraners do..Good thing we and the lil woman have a king size bed..They still take up alot of space. My female likes to stay toasty, so she sleeps under the covers at the foot of the bed.. My male, just plops his big ass anywhere he wants and just crashes out.. He acts just like a guy too.. farts and snores..

anyway, your feet must be very warm at night. lol

Yeah, my female has to be touching me, and she usually sleeps by my legs, between them or at my feet. It gets kinda frustrating at times because my girl and I like to cuddle, and trying to get everyone situated in bed is a struggle sometimes.. My male doesnt care, he is happy anywhere but he has to be touching you too.. I think its the breed or something, Ive had other dogs that were never like this..
 
Just curious - Does anyone think that having your pets in bed with you is different than having your children in bed with you?

my kids don't sleep with me (i mean, they didn't when they were younger either) but if they sit in bed and watch tv with me, my kids don't usually lick my toes, so thats different.

I know how you feel my Weimer is the exact same way, has to be touching me and just loves to step all over me and plop down where ever he wants, as long as it is touching me.

Exacly like my big guy.. He thinks hes a lap dog at 90lbs+..lol! My girl calls him snuffaluffagus.. Cuz hes big, sometimes clumsy, snores, snorts and farts..but he is very affecionate, and loves to cuddle.. He follows me around everywhere..
 
I have the same issues only my dog tends to bother my GF when sleeping and leave me alone. I'm a toss and turner.
 
My older boxer(Outlaw) will nap with me on the couch. If my younger boxer is ANYWHERE near me while I am in a supine position...... I get trampled. He jumps on me, steps on my belly, and chews on me while wagging his tail like crazy. Sometimes I hope he will calm down after a few minutes but it never happens.
My dogs don't get into my room, much. I would let Outlaw sleep with me but that would make the younger, crazy puppy feel left out.
 
I used to love having my little dog sleep with me, be it on the couch for a nap or in the bed. Same goes for when I had a cat. Nowadays, no animals in the house means no pet dander and no allergens.
 
My Oscar would probably not survive the night in my bed, I'll just continue to let him sleep in his aquarium.

Have you ever tried sleeping in the aquarium with him. Scuba tank and all bro. You need to bond.

awww, but you could put the whole aquarium in bed with you at your feet.
or place it between you and mrs. redguru.
 
Mine's too big to fit in the bed with us. He's never been on the furniture aside from when I was getting divorced and was all depressed, I tried to get him to sleep on the bed. He thrashed and freaked out because he was on the furniture, kicked all the blankets into a pile, and ripped the duvet cover with his claws. He just sleeps against the bed.
