permanent HPTA shutdown

A couple of my bros are on long cycles right now. How many weeks ON before you guys think that permanent HPTA shutdown is a major concern? Also these guys are in their early 20's if that makes a difference. What do you guys think?

It would depend on the person's genetics and possibly other factors, too. No cut and dry time, but a year would be pushing it IMO. Even with a year, some people might be long shut down and some may be able to recover.

The younger you are, the easier it will be recover ... given that you are past puberty.

I was on 14 months straight while using high doses of everything in different combos, but anadrol, fina or halo.

This killed my sperm count and HPTA. It took about 6 months to get back to normal and now have new twins.

nice...i always figured about 6 months should cure damn near any shutdown unless you are forever shutdown,

then you know it would happen like this, you'd never get your wife or girlfriend pregnant and you'd never pull out, then you'd fuck some skank ass prostitute and leave it in and get her ass pregnant...my luck

LOL: I here you, That was a classic.

also, just remember, the crash when comming after long run of gear was bad. But everything came back slowly with HCG and Clomid.

I find runing a low dose HCG weekly and some nolva helps alot with the shutdown problem.

I know that nobody will believe me when I say this. I was on for 27 weeks and have now been off for almost 4 weeks. The last 6 weeks of my cycle only included drugs like fina, anavar, winstrol, test suspension or prop. So everything should have been out of my system a few days after my last shot considering I was only taking suspension/prop the last 3 weeks. I did not crash at all. My strength went down a little bit but my pumps in the gym are unreal and my libido is sky high. By the way I was taking about 2 grams of gear per week throughout the cycle. I am not saying this will work for everybody. When I posted my cycle a while back most of the guys flamed me and said I would crash hard so I was a bit surprised when I didn't crash. - cbeaks

I am still trying to recover from my last cycle which ended 5 weeks ago. My last cycle was nothing extreme and I only ran it for 8 weeks so go figure.

It's all about doing an adequate recovery cycle. Once you have done one or two and still no recovery (according to blood tests), you are probably permanently shut down. Fortuantely, it is only a small minority that do not have success doing proper recovery cycles--even following heavy, prolonged cycles. Still, it is gambling, for you could be one of the minority. Is there a way to tell in advance? No, but as pointed out above, the younger and healthier you are, the better chance of recovery. Again, another issue for genetics and blood testing.

what happens if u permanently shut urself down by accident...???????????

do you go to a doctor and get lifetime hpta hrt?? or what...this would be an odd situation for people who juice and dont know what they are doing..............

One option is going to a doc complaining of typical symptoms of low test levels--low libido, etc. If the doc is astute, he will first do blood testing and exam. He then should try an HCG/Nolvadex/Clomid recovery cycle with you before arbitrarily deciding to put you on lifelong HRT (probably Test Gel). I think you know what the other option is--it can't be discussed on the boards.

One of my bros doing a long cycle right now is on month 7 of an 8 month cycle. This is his second cycle....his first cycle was for about 5 months including deca for about 8 weeks, winstrol, primo, and anavar. He came off without any problems whatsoever, he took clomid/nolvadex/clen for a month.....he didnt lose a thing and kept almost all his strength for 3 months after until he hit his current cycle. Is he just one of those guys that can bounce back from very long cycle because of good genetics or did he just get lucky the first time and he might actually crash from this one. Is it different everytime or do you pretty much have the same reaction post cycle? He also keeps the doses very moderate (i.e deca 300mg/week, test 400mg).

Age is definitely a major factor. In my 20s I would recover with no post-c with no problem. Now in my mid-30s, I struggle to recover even from short low dose cycles with all proper post-c.

I've had a hard time

I did a 6 month run and have been off for 5 weeks withg clomid and HCG and everything is still down I'm 32
