you ever get some odd creepers? I want to sell a bunch of my shit I realized last year when I moved I had to much books cd's etc that I never really use anymore. Anyways I know you can sell most anything on craigs list just always makes me wonder creepers out there. My mom keeps telling me she is going to have a garage sale in the fall. I think I should just start bring a bunch of my shit back to her place storing it in the basement then maybe she will really do the garage sale thing cause we been talking about it since April.

I always have a gun showing in my waistband when I go do a CL deal.

When I bought my phone at Xmas, my brother and I met this doode in a Walmart parking lot..... Felt like I was with 'tiz scorin rocks.

just donate it and write it off!!

P.S. - Hello, how is life treating you?!?! Haven't talked to you in like a year

My car needed to have the water pump replaced. The old grump had been epoxy-ing that sucker for months delaying the need for a proper repait finally one day on the way to the office it got to the point where the whole thing just *blew up*. Our office parking lot is near 30 minutes drive from the dealership we deal with. There is NO WAY we could driven the car that far. So the Old Grump called some dewd off of craig's list. Apparently he is a "mobile mechanic" of sorts. All the old grump had to do was buy the part and the mechanic drove out THAT DAY and installed it.

The part cost 390.00 the fee for the mechanic from craig's list to install it? $190.00 - the grump tipped him 20$. The job took 30 minutes.

My husband called two guys from craig's list. THEY BOTH returned his car within 30 minutes.

Saved us a wholelotta time and trouble. I had no idea that there were mechanics who provided services like this.

I suppose like anything else online, there are a lot of wierdos but there are a lot of normal people too just trying to conduct business. In my experience, the wierdos usuall give themselves up pretty quick. My sister has sold a lot of stuff on craig's list. Her biggest complaint is that a lot of people were flaky ie they wouldn't show up when they said they would to look/buy merchandise.

How the do your write it off? I never heard of that before here I know you can for cash donations but not donations of stuff that I know of I going to ask a friend he is CGA. I so would I love a good write off for getting ride of crap.

I am fantastic thanks for asking :) How about yourself sir?

Yeah but then cost of shipping it is nuts books are heavy. Plus ebay favours buyers not sellers a lot of crap happens on Ebay as well as a seller you get ripped off.

Actually, u can clean up on ebay with books. Thats what I do with my school books and shipping can be cheap.

How can that be the things are heavy as hell?

you make the buyer pay the shipping costs or put the shipping costs into the price of the books... either way the buyer pays shipping.

You can do media mail (WAY cheap, couple dollars) but it takes a long time to get there(NOT your problem)

OR

If the book is a text book(usually go for 60-150.00 on ebay) you can just toss them in a priority flat rate box. This is what I do with big text books. If I sell a textbook for 100.00, I dont mind spending 9bucks for a priority flat rate.
