are total morons. for every one knowledgeable person, you a thousand idiots. are they to blame or are their instructors to blame? in my profession, i've run across alot of them and they are all usless idiotic peons who havent a clue what they are doing

isnt it funny how people react so harshly towards realism? im in the medical field. and no, im not referring to upper management. im talking about the nuts who take eons to bring up a network or even install simple oftwares. the schooling for these imbeciles should be harder- or at least take an exam that will eliminate the dumnasses at the beginning. but if they did that there wouldnt be that many people in the computer field though

the number of surgeons who make errors are miniscule compared to the number of great surgeons out there. morality is another issue entirely though.

i know how the IT industry works. most people know dick about computers so you guys go around saying the problem is this or that; when in reality you are just stalling for time cause you have no idea what is going on. why dont i do it? i've chosen my career and am happy with it. and i know what im doing
 
The thing that sucks about working in IT is that every assclown who has ever installed Microsoft Office thinks they know more than you.

I laugh at assnozzles like you cause you're the same person constantly fucking up their computer and calling me for help
 
Maybe it's because people who are competent aren't doing low level support? I moved into software development and got away from dumbass end user's as fast as possible. Also, 9/10 user error IS the problem.

Never worked support, I went from Chefland straight into RIA Development.

Actually, whenever I am confronted with a 'user', I cringe. I tell most of them to call our support people, as they obviously have the P.E.B.C.a.K.* virus.

we've all seen you before. You're the guy who insists "he didn't do nuttin" to break his computer, meanwhile there's a PB&J sandwich in the cd drom drive tray and you have every browser/chat/file sharing app known to man installed on your box.
 
I can't tell you the number of End User assoozes that when asked to do
something over the phone to fix a known issue, argued with you that you
were wrong...

Why did you call us if you know the fix ?

I spent a whole 6 months in support before I moved to the development side of things.. I still have nightmares about those 6 months, and that was 2 1/2 years ago. You could not pay me enough to deal with users again.

There are two industries that refer to their clientele as "users." Think about it.
 
All your vast technical input and you can't figure out how to use the fucking spellchecker..... I see you're lightyears beyond the IT field already.

that if we are nitwits, then end users must be total Asstards..

Exactly and if they had to come and fix your 'network' (which by the way, makes no sense, nobody would have to come to your machine to fix 'the network) it would probably be because you fucked something up or were hogging so much bandwidth with your prodigious porn downloading that they had to disconnect you from the network (which again wouldn't require them to visit you, are you getting the hint that you're an idiot?)
 
You should take some of those easy courses and fix it yourself next time, Geighlileo.
