I spent the first 20 years of my life in Texas. 18 of those north of Dallas. 3 years in Lubbock, TexasSpent a few months living and working in Geneva, New York. . I thought what I wanted was culture, so I went to live in northern California. Still here. I love the beauty and multiculturalism of this area. I love that they are environmentally concious and I love that they embrace weed. Anything goes here. Then again, sometimes it is hard to deal with. Where I grew up, we didn't even really lock our doors. We went to church. Sat through every single sporting event rain, shine, ice, tornados didn't matter. Why because we have pride. Maybe having pride without heart is the real sin. Maybe taking pride in doing the right thing because you care is o.k. If pride causes you to turn down an opportunity because you thinks it is below you then pride was a sin. I take pride in knowing that people from Texas have a lot of heart and spirit and pride in there state. Ignorance on the other hand should never be celebrated and ignorance is everywhere. Go Cowboys!!!!
