PDA - dont want one - but I need one....its getting to the point that I need to be looking at least a couple omonths in advance...

i used to have one, the lower level palm, and i bought my GF one for her birthday since she liked mine.

PDAs always struck me as a nifty gadget i would use for about a week or so and then never pick up ever again. All I have scheduled during the week is going to the gym and masturbating so it's not like shit gets real complicated for me. If I have to plan ahead for something I usually just reschedule that day's whacking off and also the muscle group so it's no big whoop.

buy a cheap one, dont waste your money on all the bells and whistles that you'll never use. trust me.

Take a look at the HP Ipaq 1910, and the Viewsonice V35. Both are nice pocketpc's, and they aren't terribly expensive.

If you are just going to use it for scheduling, I would get a mobile phone with a good calendar feature and color LCD. If your current email provider has MMS or WAP email access, you can access your regular email account from a mobile, too. Otherwise, you might need to use some other email address for phone email. I think it's easier to type using the buttons on a mobile phone than a PDA anyway.

With a PDA, you could have more features, but this might be of little value to you.

However, if you will not be getting a mobile phone / mobile access, I would just get the cheapest option availabe. A PDA with no connectivity is like a Ferrari being used as a golf cart.

I have a Sony Clie...SJ30. I work in an office and have a lot of shit going on...not to mention a memory that doesn't work very well, so this have been a lifesaver. I sync up to my PC at work, but my home computer has been giving me attitude, so I can't sync up @ home...almost perfect.

I strongly suggest that you back your information up...get a memory stick if you get the Sony models. Just in case!

i couldn't live w/o anymore. The password list is a daily necessity because i have a different password at every site i have an account. And the street finder in Pocket Streets saves me a lot of time because i have got no sense of orientation and have to constantly look on a map when i go somewhere i ve never been before (never = not in the last 2 weeks ...)

I got a sony clie sj30 b/c it has a better screen res than the palms and it was the cheapest color pda that I could use excel,word,and outlook with...all in all i play games on it

i have a palm m130 that i really like.

its small with an easy to read color screen.

long lasting rechargeable battery.

i have a bunch of games and useful programs on it. ms word to go, scientific calc, check book, palm book reader, password folder, etc. i have a program on it that everytime i synch up with my computer it downloads the latest news articles from cnn and msnbc; the onion; and a wine review e-zine.

i paid 250 for it(it came with a 50 dollar mail in rebate), but you could probably find it much cheaper on ebay.

i think dell or HP just put out a really nice PDA with windows CE for around 200 dollars.
