PCT idea.??

Hey,

I've been on a small 8 week cycle of 300/300 eq and test cyp. I've been taking a 25mg of proviron every day since week 3 . I stopped while i wait for my PCT to begin. gained abount 10 pounds lean.

Just an idea ..or maybe im off..

All I can get my hands on for PCT is Clomid, Ive taken it before with other cycles and i get the usual side effects of feeling all emotional and i hate it.. I read that nolvedex doesnt have then side effect because its a less amount and that its an estrogen blocker.. here's my question: If I took proviron along with the Clomid would it reduce the side effect because its a anti-estrogen compound.?????

Anyone... wouldnt it keep yourr hormone levels better because it would keep ur test up and block and estrogen from aromitizing.?

Nov and Clomid work in different ways, but I haven't heard of Nov being any better for the emotional downs, including my own experience. Most people still feel Clomid is a better choice anyways, but in truth, used properly they are both effective. As for the emotional swings, go talk to a doctor about depression while you're down. It's a common problem and the medications they have might help if you are really prone to downs.

Hope that helps and good luck.

Actually, Nolvadex and Clomid work in very similar ways; they both attach to estrogen receptors. They activate the receptors in some areas and other areas they do not. The ones they do not activate are blocked from activation by real estrogen. Both these medications are classified as S.E.R.M.s (selective estrogen receptor modulators).

Proviron works as an AI (aromatase inhibitor) and prevents testosterone from converting to estrogen in the first place. This will not help the heightened emotional state you get from clomid. Proviron can also be suppressive so it has no place in PCT.

I get emotional from clomid and anxiety from nolvadex, so for PCT I do 3 weeks of the following:

50mg/day clomid
20mg/day nolvadex

This way I don't have to go high in dosage for either medication and the side effects are minimized.3

If you don't have a source for nolvadex you can order it from ag-guys.com which is a sponsor of this board.

I'm assuming you mean you heard of nolva being better psychologically.

4-5 WEEK PCT:

.25mgs arimidex EOD
week 3-4: 20mgs nolvadex ED
.25mgs of arimidex E3D
week 5: 20mgs nolvadex ED

Mr.X is one of the first people I've seen suggesting a proper tapering program by using the drugs half-lives. If you can get it, what he said above is great. As for my first statement, I appologize, I meant to say that the two were similar.

As for Nov helping the depression side over Clomid, although I've never heard it, it would make sense because Nov is the stronger of the two. Your depression, however, is caused by your hormonal imbalance, so the real deal is how well you can get back on track. HCG might be something to think about if you can get it. Also, I stand by my statement about talking to you doctor about depression. All the seritonin re-uptake inhibitors will aid the brains part in the depression, but you still need to get everything back in ballance. You can still do this with Clomid, although Mr. X's PTC would certainly be a better choice.

So to close, if you're prone to depression, see a doctor. Second, try to get some more Anti-E's, but if you can only get your hands on Clomid, you should still be fine although it isn't ideal.

Best of luck to you man, hope all goes well!

Look at my PCT, that's your best bet - you're the one that says you get emotional, so clomid might not be for you.

I only use nolvadex for pct, but next cycle I will use hcg. Given I can get it. If all you can get is nolvadex and clomid, I would take them both. The more you do to get your test going again, the better your recovery. Thats what I will do next time, if no hcg. I think that you just have to deal with the depression, its a side effect. DEAL. I hate the first week of sides from clen, but its worth it. I would not go get a anti-depression pill thats for sure. It is only a few weeks. Just don't be like the idiot on MTV's True life, and kill your self.
