women should have less trouble post cycle with men, but on the flip side, they get far worse side effects
with women, you do not have a hpta to disrupt (obvioulsly...or id be scared) and hence, while on cycle, you will have elevated androgens and estrogens. upon discontinuation of aas, you will have low androgens, but high estrogens, which will slowly decrease. hence, if there are any sides they will mostly be related to an excess of female hormones which should be able to be controlled with anti estrogens and the like. i think it is an excellent idea for any female to keep their female hormones within physiological normal ranges, because there can be some disasterous effects resulting from high estrogen (particularly cancer issues)
so bottom line is, regular blood tests, try to keep estrogens within normal ranges both during, and after cycle. ill try to have a look at what is happening with the other important hormones (FSH, LH etc etc) later on.
also, keep some anti androgens on hand during cycle, so that if you develop any androgenic side effects (esp voice changes) and you decide to 'abort' the cycle, you can do so.
i would like to hear from the other medical personell on the board about this issue if you guys have some time. my training was mainly in replacement therapy not in athletic supplementation.
any people reading this should be aware all discussions are conversational only, and should not be considered as medical advice. everyone using any drugs should always be under teh supervesion of a qualified health professional. (anyone tell im getting paranoid?)
