PC vs MAC

I have now had this Mac for a litle over 1 month and have to say so far so good. It took a bit to get used to because the usual things like minimizing are on the opposite side of the screen.

I finally can navigate through it like my old PC.

It never freezes.

PC always asked my permission to do things. Pissed me off when I was in a hurry

Macs are ok (at least new Macs)..i've seen a ton of earlier macs that had major problems.

however, i'd choose a PC any day because Mac just refuses to compete with regards to price. IMHO, there's not a substantial enough difference in quality ( and I'm not really sure that there's a difference in quality at all) to justify paying upwards of $1000 premium for a Mac.

I've been thinking about getting a Mac. First I need to get a ski mask or some panty hose so I can desguise myself when I rob a convenient store. Those fuckers are pricey

If you desire spending most of your time on work - and less of your time on trying to become a computer scientist with your PC - pick a mac.

I have a PC but I spend gobs of time just trying to fix shit. Yesterday I spent 4 hours trying to get my f'n USB sprint broadband card working. Kept disconnecting, then no device, then usb errors. Stupid shit like that.

Plus the HUGE advantage of >3GB for apps. Which is the showstopper if you want to do anything more than surf the web and write documents.

Plus the mac interface is great if you're an organized person who's very good at mastering interfaces and learning shortcuts and getting things done faster.

Cost yes. For most people - cost is a factor. And it's great for mass quantities for an office full of excel warriors, and home surfing usage. Tho viruses and spyware can easily ruin that advantage.

At my company we have many graphic designers, so they all have macs.

I work in HR/Accounting so we all have PCs. I've used both, prefer PC's by far. I'm good friends with the IT guy and he has told me he has an equal amount of problems with both. For the $$$ value you can't beat a PC.

If a simple PC, which does nothing more than run excel, word and surf the web - has PROBLEMS - then clearly something is wrong here.

This is why corporations are refusing to upgrade to Vista. They know of what problems lie ahead. They don't trust MS, they have a bad track record.

Corporations like PC's cuz 1) they're cheap 2) Every secretary and office worker knows how to use one 3) Easy to find cheap IT tech support guys who know PC's.

Plus ease for outsourcing. I don't think a single Indian has ever seen a Mac on indian soil. :)

HP rawks.

The stupid usb card is the problem. I searched evdo forums, and nothing but issues with it from other users. It's what I get for going for the cheapest $225 version.

i work on both; love my macs but there's some stuff that - as much as i despise admitting it - can be a bit easier on a PC. same point in time, well, if i could only have one, i'd take a mac any day.

I have Vista at home and at work and I've haven't had a problem yet.

I don't see where the complaints are at, I use MS Office, play a shitload of different games and run a good amount of various applications.

It performs like XP in my experience...
