What is everyones opinion on becoming a part time realestate agent? I work full time job but would work with a partnet who also has a full time position... I am not looking to make career of but to make some money on the side while also learning more about industry. Perhaps could lead to something more down the road.

knowledge is power, but the market is saturated.

You'll learn about transactions and associated law, you won't get any wiser about real estate finance or investment opportunities.

Go for it, orb.

I don't think you can collect unemployment if you have a real estate license.

I think this career has peaked..
Unless you have family in the biz or something
Or you are a really Hot looking woman

Might as well go get your MCSE

What is MCSE?

What about something related to such as Real Estate Appasier or something else that people need whenever they move. I live in the Hoboken/Jersey City area (Northern New Jersey) which is somewhat on the boom as of now...

MCSE Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

It's a watered down set of I.T. based tests that used to mean something.
Now, every unemployed plumber and roofer that can read and spew back good
on tests gets one, and then wants a high paying job in the I.T industry..

painfully easy.

LOL _ is it easy to get?

If you can read like 5 study guide books and within a few days toss back some facts and procedures from them on a test... yes

There are even camps where you can go, study and take the tests all in
one shot..

Practical experience is the piece that is missing and why many I.T. managers won't hire new MCSE or other cert holders without years of actual work outside of entry level positions
