My parents were talking about my girlfriend the other night about how she has a full scholarship and all. They were saying how smart she was, then my father says yeah but not that bright. Him saying this my mom said why cause she is with your son? And he said yeah.

What would you do? This personally makes me feel like "fuck You" from my parents.

I always worry about my parents with money and everything. I treat them good and worry about them. I wasnt sure if I should try to get my parents to pay for an apartment for me while at school, but after this incedent I'm feeling fuck it I should just have them pay for it and not give a fuck anymore.

Guys help me out.

Bottom line... decide if you want them as parents. Are these two people who you would want in your house if you weren't related to them?

If you decide you want them as parents - sit them down - look them in the eye and tell them, "Treat me with respect or find yourself another son."

I'm just pissed off, about this. I could picture friends talking shit behind my back, but not my own parents.

oh they didnt say this to your face? how did you hear it? man i was raised by great parents so i can't understand saying something like this about your own kid, but i had friends, who had parents that would tell them they hated them, and wish they never had them, and told them they were just a mistake....now if that's not evil i dont know what is.....all i can say is, if they dont respect you, there is nothing you can do about it, except move on!

I definitely say shit when my parents would try to belittle me like that. A very quick "Fuck you" is in order if they said that in your presence. They are dissing you to your face, so I say let them have it back. Be insulting. Dont take shit off nobody.
