Pain in Forearm

As of two days ago, I started having a sharp pain in my right forearm when working out biceps. Especially when doing a set of standing barbell curls. I thought it might just go away. But when I worked out today, I still got the sharp pain in my right forearm but now i also feel the same thing on the left, but not as bad. Do you guys think I used maybe too much weight and strained my forearms? If so how long will it take to recover. :worried:

ok i am guessing there is a curtin postion that you are in when you have this pain?
can you rotate your palms a bit and make the pain worse or less?

I am sure you have like shin splints in your forarm? it will heal just dont do it in that postion see if you can do other exercises to work bi's that dont hurt it.

I use to use the EZ curl bar for curls .. then i moved to straight bar.
it changed the angle of my wrists. and there were not use to it.. it hurt like hell.

so i went way down it weight. and slowly build my way back and have not had the problem since.. motrin helps also

Sorry I am new to working out and I dont know what a curtain position is. When I am lowering the weight it hurts and even a bit after I let go of the weight. But afterwards it dosnt hurt when i move or rotate the forearm, only when lifting. I get the pain when using a straight bar, maybe because of the angle of my wrists. However, when i do hammer curls and dumbbell curls they dont hurt. So should i just do the 2 other routines untill it heals, or still keep the straight bar but just lower the weight?
