Oxycontin

i am not sure. So i will bump. If you are using it for a prescription, then fine. If you are using it to get fucked up, then you are stupid. It is a very dangerous drug that causes respiritory failure if overdone. Drink some beer or get some G. Shit, grab a vicodin if its that important. :(

inhibit gains? WTF are you talking about???? That drug is more powerful that morphine. And more addictive than any drug ever made. Why would anyone who is stupid enough to take a drug that kills you just by taking 3 tabs instead of 1 care about gains. 17 people died from Oxycontin in West Palm Beach alone last month.
 
Don't fuck around with oxycontin. It is an extremely powerful opiate, similar to morphine and heroin. (and just as addictive) Even my druggie friends steer clear of the shit.
 
Dude you really don't want to mess with that drug. Everybody is right, it is for pain for people that really need it. This drug will kill you! PERIOD!
 
I have seen 5 deaths in the past 45 days that I can
with at least some certainty to Oxycontin.
Although it is almost impossible to be 100% certain
due to the fact that other PKers' contain the active ingredients.
I feel that Oxycontin is the culprit.
4 out of 5 were young women.
One girl was 17.
Sucks.
Most users don't even know what a potent drug they are up against.
Stay far away.

I have no intention of taking this stuff to get jacked up. My doctor mentioned it @ 10mg for my chronic back pain due to having had a previous serious injury to my back. Vicodin and oxycodone and the other opiate derivatives work for short durations and then the pain returns. He mentioned oxycontin because it has a patented binding agent or some shit that allows the medication to work over a longer duration. Just checking with the brothers before I make any decisions.
 
Glad to here it (that you aren't a crack whore, i mean). I am not sure if it will inhibit gains, but if you are taking it over the course of the day i don't see you having much energy or aggression in the gym. So although it may not affect your gains in a biochemical sense, it may in a motivation\energy sense.
 
Is the pain that bad? OC's are very hard to stop taking. If you were to take 1 ed for a week, you will get sick if you stop. It must be serious if your doc is taking about it.
 
Yo bro everyones right about the oxy's. And as far as the doctors go, no offense to the docs on the board, some of them are the problem. Several docs in the south florida area are being investigated right now for giving the scripts to the over dose victims. No shit they have given scrips for oxys to 20 year old kids who ask for them and complain of back pain, even though they don't have a history of back trouble. Most docs mean well but some like in every other profession are educated dumb asses. Any way the shit is a poewrful killer. If you would think about injesting heroin the stay away from oxys. Many pharmacies down in Fla have stopped carrying them. Good luck with yuor back pain but look for other means to control the pain.

Damn I wish it was as easy to get a Doc to prescribe AS as it is to oxys
 
if you have an addivtive personality than stay the fuck away from oxies...... i have more than a few friends who are hooked real bad. and let me tell you its one expensive habit. rich man's herion! i mean an oc 80 gos for $80 around here and for $5 you can go get a back of H and they both get you fucked up about the same. the thing is that the people i know taking the oc's woudnt think of doing H but they will take the oc's cause they think for some strange reason that its not as bad cause its a prescription drug. if they only new there about the same thing and equally addictive and have about the same withdrawel symptoms.

when i went away to mexico for spring break i took ocs for like 10 days straight and came home and stopped taking them with no problems. but i must be one of the lucky ones who dont get addicted quickly.

just like any other opiate if you can handle it and dont have an addictive persona than try it out and see if it helps your back pain if you do have an addictive personality then stay clear.

Oxycontin is Oxycodone hcl. It is just sustained realease(12hr) They come in 10,20,40 & 80mgs. The 80 is just for severe pain in subjects that are opioid-tolerant. If you chew them up you could have an overdose. For more info check http://www.pain.com/painexpo/exhibits/purdue/oxycontin.cfm

Oc's are bad for business, Im a bouncer at an upscale bar in new orleans, ive seen at least 15 people carried out by paramedics due to oxycontin overdoses.

yes the "contin" on the end of it stands for continous..just like ms contin, which is morphine ...the coating on the pills let it have its effects last over a duration of time
 
If you do take them ask your doc to switch them now and then w/ a benzo. that way you dont get addicted. I have alot of friends who started w/ vics and oxys, and xanex, now most either snort or shoot heroin. just be careful. I am not preaching, so please dont take it that way. Pills and dope are everywhere now. and cheap as shit.
 
Very addictive and I'm pretty sure they will hinder gains because the plug u up(makes it hard to shit). This I think would hinder absorbion(spelling) of some important nutrients!
 
I just got my wisdom teeth removed and the doctor gave me Oxycodone to relieve that pain. The only difference in Oxycodone and Oxycontin is the release rate. Oxycodone (Percocet) is released farily quickly and has a half life of only 3-4 hours. Oxycontin on the other hand is extended release over a period of around 12-24 hours.

To be honest, It didn't do shit for me. I got to the point where I was taking 4 of those things at once because they weren't effective at 1 tab as prescribed. I don't think the drug is as powerful as some may think. It barely makes your pain tolerable. Morphine and Dilaudid are MUCH stronger and more effective.

I got a question. I have a friend who used to use O.C.'s I.V. to get high. If the only difference is the coating for time release purposes why don't people bang Oxycodone (Percocet) ? Is it because the O.C.'s come in alot higher strenght than the Percocets?
 
To my knowledge, Percocet only comes in 5mg and 10mg strengths. I could be wrong, but I think this is how it is prescribed. Good question though.

People don't bang percocet iv because it contains tylenol where oxy's do not. You can't filter out the tylenol into a reasonable amount of liquid since percs are only 5mgs. Oxys come in up to 80 mg strength and can be filtered. Bang an 80 mg pill and you are in lala land. The people who die are opiate novices who bang 80mgs off the bat. I don't suggest this med because you will get hooked, it is the nature of the drug. As for your gains it will not affect them but after being on the oxys a while you will no longer want to go to the gym. You will be spending most of your time searching for more oxys. The guy who suggested selling them is right. They go for about $1 a milligram on the street if that is your thing.

Your not kidding about OC's being addictive. I've banged them before even the 80mg (usually make me sick) and when I was doing them it was an everyday thing. If I had a source I would probably still do them ocassionally but luckily I don't. It's an expensive habit too. The few weeks at a time I've been hooked on them I gave up all my extra cash for them w/o hesitation. The guy I got them from ending up missing a vein and got a nasty infection he had to have drained and he quit so I don't ask for them anymore.
 
MSContin is a time released morphine. Oxycontin is time released oxycodone. The two drugs are supposed to be equal in strength but I feel morphine is much stronger although the effects from oxy seems to last longer. Both are equally addictive and will destroy your life quickly.
 
$1 per milligram??? Damn, Oc40's go for 4-5 bucks by me. I have never done them and have no desire to, i just know the going rate.
 
hey just cruch up a vic, and ripp off a few lines. Most pain killers work the same way, it is just a matter of how much you ingest. Avoid that shiat, go work it out at the gym, that will get you high!!:o
 
Opiates are EXTREMLY addictive (and the only real physiologicaly addictive drug, i think). Why would anyone want to take that shit? Ulter, more powerful that morphine? i thought that morphine was unparalleled in analgesic/sedative effects.
 
OC's also come in 160mg. tabs-although the company just announced they will not be making them anymore.$1.00 per mg. is TOP dollar and there is NO WAY a 40 goes for 4-5.00!!(unless they are stolen) ask your guy to get you some and I'm sure he can't come through with 'em. They now have fakes in Mexico that look JUST like the real ones that are totally fake.9 out of 10 people in rehab are there for OC's-Stay away!!!

only on special occasions, chew up a 40 and
go to the club and i'll be rappin with every female in the place, fuck xtc though, oc's are better but keep it to like once a month thing and you'll be straight
