Oxandrolone cycle week 1 results.

Well I've finished the first official week of my oxandrolone only cycle and have some results. It's actually day 12 today as I started on a Thursday but this marks the end of the first full week. I have 3 words that sum up my results so far:

Bigger, stronger, leaner.

Almost sounds like the million dollar man, and believe me I'm starting to feel that way. For those that didn't catch my initial posts here is a quick recap. I'm taking 40mg a day of the chinese Anavar. On workout days I divide the dosage in 2; 20mg with breakfast and 20mg about an hour before my workout. On off days I take all 40mg in the morning. My goals on this cycle are to drop bodyfat to 8% while simultaneously putting on some muscle, I'm hoping for at least 10 lbs.

My diet the first week was 2600 calories which is about a 400 calorie deficit based on my guestimation of a 3000 calorie BMR. My breakdown was 50/35/15 pro/carbs/fat which equaled out to about 325g of protein daily. I was getting these calories in 7 meals throughout the day.

My workouts have been Mon,Tues,Thur,Fri with the rest of the days off and no cardio yet. I workout upper body on Monday and Thursday and lower body Tuesday and Friday. Normally I do 1 bodypart per week but I felt that while on ox I should hit them twice per week to maximize muscle stimulation for growth.

I have not started creatine yet, in fact I will be starting it today. I have never done creatine before and I'm hoping that combined with the ox I will get good results. Now onto the results...

I started out at 206 pounds the morning of my first day of the cycle. I was fully hydrated and muscles were loaded with glycogen as I had been non-dieting for a month beforehand to get my thyroid back to working order. I weighed in yesterday morning at 207~208 pounds. I have to say that in the last 18 months of experimenting with different diets I have NEVER EVER seen my weight increase at the end of the week. Usually my weight decreses by 4-5 pounds due to water loss then stabilizes from there. Not only did my weight not drop, but it actually increased a couple pounds. Let's just say that I am baffled but excited.

As far as strength goes I am definately stronger. Today will really be my first chance to gauge my gains. I only bench on Mondays so I've only got to bench once while on and it was 4 days after my first dose. I noticed some strength gains on that day but they were fairly mild and I had only been on a short time. I'm hoping today at the gym I can really report some definite improvement. In general though I can get more reps with the same weight in all exercises, and in some more than others.

I am visibly leaner in the mirror though I can't tell how much fat I've truly lost. I think I am holding a bit of water perhaps due to some minor bloating, but nonetheless I look a bit leaner. My arms actually look much leaner, my midsection only slightly leaner. However it's only been 12 days and I have 11 weeks to go so I'm stoked. Also at my bodyfat %(12-14), it's difficult to tell right away. Once I get down to 10% or so I'm sure weekly changes will be definately noticeable.

Now for the awesome part. My arms are up 3/8" on both sides! Again I started the diet fully hydrated so I was by no means flat when I started. I measured my arms yesterday morning as was extremely surprised at what the tape said. I hadn't worked out since Friday so it was not because of a pump. I did carb up on Saturday which probably loaded more glycogen than usual but not by that much. And I dieted all day yesterday and this morning they were still up. I know that today I will get an incredible pump in the gym. I haven't taken measurements in other areas yet as I've planned on only doing them every 2 weeks. I just thought I'd tell you about the arms as I was so surprised. Next week I'll give specific measurements on all areas including my abdominal skinfold.

So as you see after 12 days I've made definite improvements in all areas. I do believe I've actually put on some muscle as well as lost some fat. However my main goal was to get ripped in 12 weeks and at the current rate I'm not sure if it will happen. I know that if I kept everything the same for 12 weeks I'd gain definite muscle and lean up considerably. However my main priority on this cycle is to drop bodyfat quickly and muscle gain is the 2nd priority.

I will drop my calories this week to 2200 to increase fat loss. I am sure that by the end of this week I will have definite visible fat loss as well as lower skin folds. If I seem to drop too quickly I will up my calories again but I think 2200 will be enough. My plan is if I drop my bodyfat quick enough I may be able to reach my goal early then I can increase my calories a bit and gain some more muscle while slowly dropping the last bit of fat. I'm actually hoping that at 2200 calories I still manage to put on some muscle and I truly think I will based on what I've seen so far. My 3000 calorie BMR is just an estimation based on the 15x bodyweight calculation. I'm guessing that it may be anywhere from 2700-3000 so at 2600 calories I was only in a mild deficit. If it truly is 2700 calories then 2200 calories will make a big difference. If I notice any muslce loss I will up them but I doubt that will happen. I've dieted before at 2000 calories with good results, though I was hoping this time to actually gain some muscle.


So again I'm bigger, leaner and stronger but I want to focus on leaner so my calories are dropping this week. If my results don't change to my liking I may up them a bit to find the right amount. Based on my observations so far and from others results I think there are about 4 situations that oxandrolone can put you in:

1. Moderate muscle gain with no fat gain.
2. Low-moderate muscle gain with moderate fat loss.
3. Low muscle gain with quick fat loss.
4. Greatly increased fat loss with no muscle gain or loss.

I'm shooting for number 3 right now though I think at 2600 calories I was at number 2. Normally I think 2 would be a prime state but my bodyfat is not as low as I'd like so I need to get it down fast as possible. I'm hoping that in 7-8 weeks I can get my bodyfat low enough so that I can switch back to number 2 and gain a few extra pounds of muscle while still dropping some fat.

As a whole I am absolutely impressed with this drug and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I believe that combined with ECA it has helped to keep my appetite down. I have this bloated feeling in my stomach at times while it doesn't look visibly bloated. I think oxandrolone tends to cause a full feeling which is great while dieting. Also it did tend to cause insomnia at first but I think I've got my timing down to where it's stimulating factor has worn off by the time I hit the sack.

The only side I've experienced so far was a mild acne breakout on the chest. And I do mean very mild. I started to keep the area cleaner and used some oxy pads at night and it already cleared up. I believe that the ox made my skin a tad oiler so I just have to add a bit of extra hygiene to my skin and all is well. I'll begin tanning soon too which will keep it clear.

So ending this weeks update I just have to say that if results are good this early, I can't wait to see what happens in the rest of my 11 weeks!

Excellent...keep us updated...I missed a meal reading the post...My buddy is doing the same anavar only cycle from the same supplier and is loving it after 4 weeks...
 
Start posting pics on weekly basis if you are on anavar cycle I don't want to just hear it but see it
 
The pictures will be up eventually but not once a week. I will probably update pics every 4th week so you guys will see a before and then 3 sets of afters. Weekly stat updates will suffice until the 4th week is here.
 
Damn I'm gonna get a fine from Blockbuster video thanks to you bro! Anyway good results so far... keep us up to date on ur progress!
