I order an A/C online, paid for 3 day delivery and sure enough it didn't work, fan only compressor was dead.
I called and was told that I could bring it to the CT store and exchange it (I was like you do realize I live in NY) or that they would send out a call tag to pick it up and in the mean time send out a new one and that a case manager would call and tell me when.

No one called.

Yesterday I called and I was told the paperwork would was not yet processed and that it she would process the call tag and UPS would pick it up today.

UPS had no record of it, packed that POS up and waited around today for no reason.

I received an email stating that my return was approved that I would have to bring the 70lb A/C back to UPS and that I would have to pay for the return. WTF?

Called them back spoke to one person that transferred me to another that told me I was misinformed and that I could wait up to 72 hours which for them is business hours or up to 9 days for a case manager to call me back to set up the call tag.

Which of course lead to much screaming on my part (felt pretty good actually I should scream more often).

Moral of the story don't buy from CC unless you live near the store so you can shove a 70lb A/C down the throat of customer service in person.

Thank God it's been cool out.

OWNED even more.
Dear God, of course they do, that's my kind of luck.

Of course they were the only local merchant to purchase the AC I wanted.

Why on earth would you purchase something that size on-line to start with? You were just asking for problems from go.

Because it was the only Retailer that carried the AC I wanted.
:whatever:

Samsung makes great AC units, quiet and powerful.

Apparently they are teh suck if you have that much experience with them and are buying yet another one :D

Dude, it's for a different room.

I have other Samsung AC's I'm replacing the LG POS we bought last year (got suckered into a sale item) that is not only loud as hell it barely cools.

I spoke to Samsung they were awersome, they told me if CC doesn't fix it they would get me a new one.

My CC company called me and told me they spoke to CCity and they're going to email me a prepaid shipping ticket so I don't have to wait around for UPS again. I don't mind dropping it off but I won't pay to ship it.

So at least that's a step in the right direction (I'm sure more idiocy will follow).

I'll give you that one, I had a LG and one month in the coolant fluid was leaking all over the place.

My hatred for Samsung comes from two broken cd players and a mp3 player that lasted 3 days. Oh, and a computer cd-rom drive that lasted a few months then wouldn't eject anything. I have no experience with their monitors or TVs.

...get central air. :)

I hate circuit city, at least out here they seem to only hire people barely capable of comprehending 2+2. The only time I go there is when they put dvd's on the $5 sale.

Hope you get this worked out Velv.

Cheers,

this is what you get for buying an a/c ONLINE

Clearly driving over 120 miles each way over state lines to buy the one I was looking for would have been by far more of an intelligent decision.

I purchased my 65 inch Rear projection HDTV online.

Sometimes you get burned, I guess. But I'd do it again. I buy everything online. Cheap and convenient.
