Over time, I have learned that...

say bits of wisdom to complete the thread title.

for me, I've learned that there's alot more importance and smaller things in life. Anticipating the bigger things just isnt a way of finding happyness in life. When you reach big goals or do big things, yes, it feels good, but it doesnt happen that often, so you're only living for moments that are rare in life. The key, or atleast I have found somewhat (I think), is to appreciate the smaller things that occur on a day to day basis. Your days become more memorable that way. You'll have a higher frequency for happiness. You get more satisfaction and feel complete at the days end. I find this helps to keep life fuller.

People are not realistic. It is much easier for them to operate in the dream world that has become accepted in our society than to actually see things for what they really are.

People ARE NOT honest with themselves. This complicates EVERYTHING

A realist will ALWAYS be viewed as a pessimist.

Crazy chicks are the best in bed.

If you are funny and witty, you can get away with murder.

You can most definitely get laid (and by some quality ass) without a 6 pack or great looks.

Treat a girl like a queen and she will not respect you. Treat her like shit and she'll fall in love with you. Unfortunately, degrading a woman and breaking her down into broken little pieces in order to create a NEED inside her that results in her needing you in her life in order to justify her existence, really does work.

Taking chances will pay off eventually.

Get the fuck out of your comfort zone. Seriously.

While pride is possibly the most important characteristic and key to success in everything you do, it can most certainly work against you. Learn to harness that mofo.

Handjobs are still great.

There are lots of people in this world that choose to remain stupid and ignorant.

You can't do it all your my own. There's nothing wrong with asking for help.

Tact - Very few people incorporate the meaning of this word in their lives.

You can be fit & healthy and still have some meat for your man to grab onto.

I'd like to pass that one on to an old man I know.

Also, people love it when you lose or suffer. It makes them feel good to know that there's one less to worry about. It prides them in thinking they can be better than you.

What they forget is that this is expected with humans. And in them thinking their anymore better than you, they further overjudge you. It only hurts them because they make more flawed assumptions and judgements all the time afterwards. This produces know it all's about other people.

Having children puts your world into perspective ...... raising them teachs you more about yourself then you wanted to know ..

My 9 year old daughter owns my heart ... i see everything pure and innocent in the world when i look into her eyes . There are days i cringe opening the front door and letting her loose into the real world

how so?

Children test your limits , physically and mentally , they will show " you " what kind of person you are .
Fustration and an inability to cope with a stressfull situation may bring out some traits of your personality that you may not find all that flattering .. they " will " show you ( upon reflection of your actions ) what your all about .

I remember when my wife and i first started living together in a low rental unit .. we could hear the single mom's screaming at there kids day and night ... my wife told me .. " if i ever do that just kill me !!! "

Well once and olny once did i have to remind her of that after we had our own kids ..

...being 20 years old and saying you want to get married doesnt mean that you are really ready for marriage

...if you keep your mouth shut and dont say whats on your mind and what is bothering you, everyone will treat you however they want and choose at the moment

...being a pessimist sometimes works out for the best, cause you dont always get want you want and need.

...sticking together with your SO through few crappy, bad, humiliating years sometimes pays off

You can't control everything. Sometimes you just have to turn loose and let things take their course.

Well, sometimes=always. Usually.

but wouldnt that be knowing?
to know "WHAT" we dont know...meaning: accepting the fact that we dont know something and admitting it...is the BEGINING of WISDOM...a fool thinks he knows all, and is quick to tell or show all that he knows...Wisdom comes from experience- knowledge comes from being taught...you can know something, but not have any experience in doing so... :)
