Outdoor Tanning

I am going to start outdoor tanning now that I moved and have access to a nice backyard. I wanted to know what is the best oil or lotion to use for the best tan? Thanks

ahh tanning what i know best

ok since u live in texas sun is out alot in the summer so ur dank

use a good OIL for your body....hawaiin tropic tanning oil (greasy ass shit but works awsome)) brown bottle..sold everywhere..wallgreens etc..

and use a sunscreen on your face and nose ... SPF 15 SAVE YOUR FACe

peak tanning hours are 11-3 so thats when the sun is right above you...
start layin out for 45 minutes for a few days work up to no more then 1.5 hours...anything after overkill and too much sun is bad..

after tanning use a good mosteizer to help the callegan rebuild and help with the dry skin from the tannin

Heavy smear on Oil is nasty IMO.. All greasy and such..

I use the ligjt spray on tanning oil if anything. Banana boat is good

But 99% of the time I just use a high SPF 30 waterproof sun block cream because I'm in and out of the water all day at the beach or fishing.
Usually only on my Shoulders, face, ears, neck and tops of my feet...
The rest is good and tanned.

If you are looking to tan safer, use an SPF 30 and then come down 10 SPF as you tan till you are at like at a SFP 4 or so minimum..
Oils will make you burn bad unless you already have a good tan like Y
as they trap the heat in the skin..

I spent three weeks in Jamaica one spring: spf 30 down to spf15 down to spf8.... dark copper cheffy.

Last morning there, plane leaves that afternoon, I say WTF and slather on the brown bottle HT oil from hell. One hour. Just one.

Mr. Blueredfriedfleshchernobyl Man, we salute you!

Within a few days my flesh was coming off in sheets. Attractive? No. Painful? um, yes. Stupid? Most certainly.

ok i love to tan, thank God my greekness makes it easy :D

now ideally you shouldnt tan. bad for the skin, cancer and all that. you know how it is. BUT if you do decide to, whats important is that you dont burn, and make sure that your skin stays hydrated while you tan

hydrated skin tans the best, and you can achieve this through the use of chilli creams that open blood vessels, OR you can just use an occlusive barrier- like clingfilm or oil. or you could tan in a pool, which is nice :)

i would tan for 15 minutes each side on alternating days for a week at about 1:30pm until you build up some color. even better, i would hit a solarium for the first 3 sessions to ensure you dont burn.

dont rush. if you burn, youll peel, and then after 2 weeks of looking like crap, youll start over. so. take it slow

cheers

I forgot to add I am pale to start with.

yeah man be careful..i shadow a dermatologist..and when im not with him seeing patients..i read his dermo dictionarys..when i read about skin cancer it said that it happens most to people who work in an office and go away 4 times a year to nice weather places...this is because there skin isnt used to it..when you get tan you are actaully making a barrier to the rays in a sense...so people who are used to be tan and dont burn will be less likely to get cancer than those types of people that i wrote about above.....hope that made sence

Well, I cant make a barrier and get a tolerance unless I......get a damn tan.

better off not tanning dude...just take it easy if you do..youll regret it when you are older..you will be all wrinkly, dried out skin...sun spots...the list goes on...
i have even seen some skin cancer close up at the dermo, and its no joke man

I dunno, it made my girl look kinda orange.

That's not her.

there is one of those around the corner from here.... do they make your hinge points (elbows, knees, etc.) look funky? Have you done this?

I blend in all the tan spray w/my hands when I get out of the booth so its even blended- no hinge points problems. It takes about 36 hrs for the tan color to show. I only had a problem w/ the color looking uneven on my feet

MsBev - How often do you have to go before you lose the tan???

As for what to use when outdoor tanning, do it Kramer style ... butter! Just watch out for new "overweight" friends. They might want something MORE from you!
:supercool

Speaking of tanning..
One of those memories from my youth that is burned into my brain..

Mowing the neighbors back yard and their Hottie teen Daughter is sunning herself by the pool..
All sexy and posing and stuff just for me as I saw it..

I ran over several yard ornaments with my mower,
totally screwing it up, and my chances to get jiggidy with her..

Do you have to flex your buttcheeks open or lift the boobs? no, seriously.
