Ouch!!!

I think you did exactly what you described, strained the tie in. Keep it stretched out at least 6 times a day in addition to what all the good bros above suggest...

I seem to do this about once a year, usually at the end of a cycle when I get stupid heavy for 10. Take a week off from chest, hit the arms and shoulders if you can. Back down the weight to to 75% and increase your working sets. For me it seems to be a weight sensitive injury and the working sets don't seem to matter.. Good luck

Man, you dug this one outta the cellar. I actually had some procedure where they inject 7cc's of dye, followed by 20 cc's of air. The air enlarges the entire area for X-rays. The ortho I took the X-rays to told me that the only thing he could do is shave the end of my collar bone(?). He told me that I had a little to much bone there and that's the only way to fix it.

It is about 95% now, and I won't be doing any 5 reps for a while. I also changes my benching style. I kept my elbows in and brought my hands in a little. The nice thing is I am back to where I was at the peak of my cycle, and I've been off for 3 months.

If it happens again, I may just have to have the surgery. Until then I'm leavin it alone.
