OT: Question about resume's

Is it okay to use 2 pages for a resume, or does it strictly have to be limited to 1 page. Im only a college student so no credentials or real experience, but im up for an sweet internship with at a really impressive place. They need someone immediately so I dont feel too much pressure to make it "perfect" cuz they might hire me anyway, but how many pages are acceptable?

get it on one page... you can alter spacing and what not to your hearts content... but if it comes down to it, just leave the relevant info.

one page would be better....especially if you are still in college....what couold possibly be on there? do some editing

One page is always best, make it brief and to the point. Good luck, hope you get it bro.

1 page, no smaller than 10pt font, get to the point quickly for all entry's.

I have shit-canned resumes that didn't follow the above.

its a whole lot of 3-6 month jobs that are takin up all the goddam space........should i just cut out the old shit?

- List the last three jobs you had. (That includes your current job.)
- List only what is applicable to your degree/job you are applying for.
- If it's a bunch of burger flipping jobs, list the last three.
- Avoid showing long gaps of time without working.

Along with "skill applicable" job history, employers will also look to see if you have consistantly worked. (No long gaps without a job can be perceived as a strong work ethic.)

These are just some of the things I look for when reviewing resumes.

Ahh heck, unless you have a PHD, JD, multiple MBA's, keep it to one page, MAX! Make it one page and fill it up...

If you need help, PM me and I will supply you my email address and I'll help you out...

:supercool

Employers get tired reading resume very quickly so make sure only point good or last jobs and make sure all best qualities experiences are first on the list

The mods here don't have time to wade through all of the crap you did 10 years ago as they are monitoring many different boards. Follow the above advice and make sure it is concise and to the point. In all honesty you really don't need alot of education to be a mod. Just people skills.

All the resume is for is to get the employer interested enough in you to want to interview you face to face. The interview is where you will get to talk about yourself in more detail.

NOT in the resume......

Just leave them at one line, 2 max, per job. Dates, employer, position, if they aren't really relavant.

A lot of employers like the fact that someone worked their way through college, it shows responsibility/desire/etc. so no reason to cut it out since you're still in college. You could just summarize the types of jobs you did to pay your way, etc. too....

Keep it on one page and add a note for referecnce something like this:

References and Full Educational and Professional expereince available upon request...
