Osta and cholesterol

Oxbow-

New member
Hello, I've seen a study about LGD and LGD is a little bad for cholesterol :

LGD-4033 was well tolerated. There were no drug-related serious adverse events. Frequency of adverse events was similar between active and placebo groups. Hemoglobin, prostate-specific antigen, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, or QT intervals did not change significantly at any dose. LGD-4033 had a long elimination half-life and dose-proportional accumulation upon multiple dosing. LGD-4033 administration was associated with dose-dependent suppression of total testosterone, sex hormone-binding globulin, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and triglyceride levels. follicle-stimulating hormone and free testosterone showed significant suppression at 1.0-mg dose only. Lean body mass increased dose dependently, but fat mass did not change significantly. Hormone levels and lipids returned to baseline after treatment discontinuation.

I would like to know if Osta cause bad cholesterol too. I'm on TRT and switch from the sarms from sarms1.com between Osta and LGD with a little S4.

If Osta is bad too, it means I will better take a break OFF sometimes to make my cholesterol normalize.

So is Osta bad for my cholesterol too ?

I suggest doing bloods after osta, then 8-12 weeks off everthing. This will answer your question

no it is not... it has not shown through bloodwork that i have ever seen to hurt cholesterol... also keep in mind that gw-501516 has shown to significantly raise good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol...

Shouldn't be an issue with ostarine but if you stack cardarine with it every time, you'll never have to worry about it since cardarine improves lipid profile. That makes it ideal to run with every steroid cycle actually. N2guard is another essential to run with cycles and it helps tremendously.

Thanks for the answers.

So if I blast with AAS then want to cruise on SARMS (im on trt) It would be a bad idea for the lipids.

So what I'm gonna do :
1) AAS cycle
2) cruise with sarms to keep gains
3) time off to be in shape and have a good lipid profile again to re-blast with AAS

I think a cycle every two years is okey for my health. Cardio during time off to have a good condition and avoid problems during cycle like blood pressure.

Good plan right ?

That's not a bad plan, but I would strongly suggest using N2guard and Cardarine (GW) as well. Both of those help tremendously with lipids

Totally agree.. add N2Guard and GW and you will experience optimal health and your cardiovascular will be drastically improved

I believe you guys :) DOn't worry but do you have a study or something that say GW improve the lipids ?

You know I believe it but it's like...too beautiful to be true ! If this is real I will run that with all my next cycle but I need just a confirmation.

Check out this log someone did for us over at Evolutionary with bloodwork showing the effect of GW on lipids

bloodwork after 6 weeks of GW-50156 (only compound)

Thanks a lot ! Lipids are something very important when you bodybuild for a long period of time.
So I'm gonna run GW with osta(or LGD) after cycle to improve my lipids and keep gains, N2Guard and "cholesterol support" (from the brand "NOW") during my cycle. And a break off with a healthy life style after SARMS

No problem bro. Anytime!

After a research I found a study of a very reputable source that show that GW could improve lipids :

FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION

GW-501516
(also known as GW-501,516,GW1516 or GSK-516) is a PPAR***948; modulator compound being investigated for drug use by GlaxoSmithKline.[1][2] It activates the same pathways activated through exercise, including PPAR***948; and AMP-activated protein kinase. It is being investigated as a potential treatment for obesity, diabetes, dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease. [3] [4] GW-501516 has a synergistic effect when combined with AICAR: the combination has been shown to significantly increase exercise endurance in animal studies more than either compound alone. [5][6]

GW-50156 regulates fat burning through a number of widespread mechanisms [7]; it increases glucose uptake in skeletal muscle tissue and increases muscle gene expression, especially genes involved in preferential lipid utilization.,[8][9] [10] This shift changes the body's metabolism to favor burning fat for energy instead of carbohydrates or muscle protein, potentially allowing clinical application for obese patients to lose fat effectively without experiencing muscle catabolism or the effects and satiety issues associated with low blood sugar. [11] GW-501516 also increases muscle mass, which improved glucose tolerance and reduced fat mass accumulation even in mice fed a very high fat diet, suggesting that GW-501516 may have a protective effect against obesity [12]

It has been demonstrated at oral doses of 5 mg a day to reverse metabolic abnormalities in obese men with pre-diabetic metabolic syndrome, most likely by stimulating fatty acid oxidation.[13] Treatments with GW-501516 have been shown to increase HDL cholesterol by up to 79% in rhesus monkeys and the compound is now undergoing Phase II trials to improve HDL cholesterol in humans. [14]

Concerns were raised prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympics that GW-501516 could be used by athletes as a performance enhancing drug which was not currently controlled by regulations or detected by standard tests. One of the main researchers from the study on enhanced endurance consequently developed a urine test to detect the drug, and made it available to the International Olympic Committee.[15] The World Anti-Doping Agency has also begun work on a test GW-501516 and other related PPAR***948; modulators.,[16] and they have been added to the prohibited list from 2009 onwards.[17] The compound has yet to be named a controlled or prohibited substance by any nation's drug enforcement or regulation agency. To date, no athlete is known to have tested positive for the substance, though the increase in endurance, muscle fiber performance, fat loss and metabolism suggests GW-501516 has the potential for ergogenic use and abuse.

yes, gw has a multitude of benefits and the improvement of good cholesterol and lowering bad cholesterol is one that is often overlooked but is extremely important... let me know give you a full cycle layout... what are your main goals from the cycle so i can structure accordingly...

running GW with osta n LGD is going to help cholesterol in general. osta/LGD may impact it a slight bit, but with GW you overall improve your cholesterol.

gw should deff have a postive impact on cholestrol and help to negate atlest some of any negative effects any other substance might have on it.
