Orwell people: Quick Question about 1984

What did they call they call the new language, or if not that, the organization that made up the new language? I'm not thinking of the thought police...dammit! You know, the double-plus-ungood people???

Also, the big furnace thing that they threw old news articles down, was it called the memory hole?? This is driving me crazy, I'm finishing up this paper, and made some vague references to it, and then realized I might be wrong...what a moron.

it was suppose to be the international language (made in 1887 by Dr. Zamehnof I think) but seems like it never went popular...

I diasagree.......newspeak may not exist in its form as presented in Orwells book....but de-evolution of culture in modern industrialized nations....functions enough like newsspeak which does the same job........

which should be anaysing the function rather than the form......

I did and a paper on 1984 for a journalism/propaganda in college that I got an A on. And I didn't even read the book. I just watched the movie. I'm meant to read the book but put it off until it was too late. Oh well. All wells that ends well.
