opinions on Xanax

You guys are funny. Xanax is not a sleeping pill. I can understand how it would help you sleep tho. Its for panic attacks and anxiety throughout the day that is. But shit why not eat them at night they are rather delicious. Just a warngin yes xanax are VERY addictive. I dont know what you mean about hard to get off of, I guess they could be. I dont have any withdrawl symptoms but I do want them again. I'm not freaking out or anything though. Xanax is my favorite drug. Its usually prescribed at only .25 when you wake up then .25 int he afternoon. For people with strong panic attacks the maximum dosage is 4mgs split through the day. But to get a prescription for that you would have to be crazy nuts, bouncing off the walls nervous and unable to control yourself. I've taken as many as 8mgs a day. Those were my highschool days and very dumb. Any more than 3 or 4mg at a time and you completely black out. You wont remember shit. So if your REALLY nervous then yes xanax is a wonderful thing jsut dont abuse them. Speaking from experience they can get you in A LOT of trouble. You just dont care when your on them. For instance I went to my school a few weeks ago after taking about 4mgs with my friend. We went to print out poster size printouts on the big lazer printer. Well when we arrived it was locked up with everything else. Normally I would of just been mad and left. This time I got the idea to jsut break in and print what I want. So I asked these other 2 guys in the computer lab to watch out, one on either entrance for us. Then we jsut broke open the cabnet and broke the locks by accident. I thought it would just pop open, and It did with soe force but it also broke it. OOPs. Then after getting in I saw a $15,000 projector. Normally I never steal.. Well this time I thought it was a good idea for me to have it. So I put it under my shirt. Was like no this wont work. Luckily I had a good friend that talked me out of it. I was like shit I'm going to get my backpack hold u. He said fuck that I'm not in on it I'm leaving. So I changed my mind. Well the printers never worked they werent even hooked up. So we got nothing. When we returned to shcool the following monday there were posts next to every computer and bulletin board. ABotu people breaking the locks and how they are going to install video cameras if it happens again. Blah Blah Blah, well anyways dont take to many as it greatly effects your (my) judgement -D

I have high anxiety and I actually don't find it that addictive. I find popping my ass with a gram of testosterone per week more addictiive.

if you dont have actual anxiety, just trouble sleeping. you should try ambien. chew up 1 5mg tab and you're drowsy in 10 minutes and usually asleep within a half hour. works great!

I used take it extensively for anxiety which was prescribed my doctor. It is a great drug if not taken to get high. If you take to get high you are going to run into some problems. Also if you use it as a sleep aid for any length of time i.e. 1 week you will have a couple of rough nights sleeping if you run out. I was prescribed .25 mg as needed with a max of 2 mg every 24 hours. .25 worked well because I did not get high on that dose nor was I tried but I experienced less stress or precived stress. When I did not need it anymore I did not have much trouble with withdrawals either and I was on it for 9 months every day. The larger doses you take the more addicting and the less you will be able to function normal. Is a very good drug when used as prescribed. Good Luck

Trazadone is good for sleep. I had addiction issues and have been proscribed xanax, but it was kind of "light" for me. Ambien is much better for sleep. Quite frankly, I thought xanax was pretty much useless for me, but I never really took to high a dose. Talk to your doctor. If you're not at risk, he'll probably give you a script.
