opinions for life after football....

i just finished up my college football career last november. i played at 6'4", 280 lbs...and am now down to about 230lbs. unfortunately a lot of that 50 lbs was muscle. i've kind of hit a plateau in my training and diet.

i'm looking for a cycle to help be put on and keep lean mass while loosing body fat. i've done a few cycles before.....but those were for size and strength (d-bol, sust, anavar, winstrol). now, i'd like to get more cut up. i've been doing some research on equipoise stacked with winny, and that's what i'm leaning towards right now.

equipoise - 800mg wk1-2, 400mg wk3-12
winstrol - 50mg eod wk 5-12
follow up with clomid?

does anyone have any other suggestions or additions that might work better for someone in my sort of situation?

eh for getting cut this is what works for me

test: 500mg/wk
eq: 600-800mg/wk
fina: 75-150mg ed
arimidex

if you're trying to cut up, diet and cardio are the way. AAS will help you hold on to muscle while losing the fat, but they wont' magically burn the fat off for you.

eq & winni should be a good cycle to help you hold onto your muscle while you trim up. you might also want to consider throwing in 350mg/wk of test or so just to keep junior working correctly.

i agree....diet and cardio are definitely the way to go....i have already lost 50 lbs through diet and cardio. it's just hard to keep muscle while on a restricted calorie, high cardio routine.

i didn't think that eq gave you the same limp dick problem like deca?
 
I think your cycle is good for your goals, might want to add 150-300mg/wk of test, but not a necessity.

A couple of things you should probably do:

1. Run the winny ED.
2. Push the winny back to weeks 8-15
3. Start clomid in week 16

test for cutting?....hmmmm...interesting. what kind of test do you recommend? something fast acting?...or a blend like sust? just out of curiosity, why would you want test in a cutting cycle?
 
I'll go through my diet and workout routine as well. maybe someone would like to comment on those.

diet: i try to stary away from sugar and fat. when i eat carbs, i try to make them whole weat, and i try not to eat any starchy carbs at night.
typical day:
8:30am - bowl of hi-fiber, low sugar bran cereal w/ non-fat milk
10:30am - whole wheat bagel or 1 packet of plain instant oatmeal
1:30pm - deli sandwich (usually roast turkey) on whole weat...no mayo or cheese
5:00pm - wheat crackers w/ non-fat cottage cheese
6-7:30 pm - work out
8:00pm - sauted chicken breast w/veggies and a tossed salad

i'm thinking that i need more protein, and that i should substitute the cereal in the morning w/ a protein shake...but i'm not sure.

workout:
i lift three times a week.
#1 - chest/back
#2 - legs
#3 - arms/shoulders

i try to get 4 cardio sessions in a week - moderate-high intensity for 30min.

i will sometimes do cardio before i lift b/c i find it easier to get the cardio over with. i enjoy lifting....i fucking hate cardio. i know that my lifts will suffer a bit when doing cardio right before, however, i think it's better to do the cardio and suffer a bit on the lifts rather than not doing the cardio at all (b/c inevitably that's what happens if i lift first and try to do cardio after).

anyway....let me know what everyone thinks. any comments about training or diet that anone has will be appreciated.

Hey bro..sorry I didnt get back to you sooner.

I'd put test in there and use arimidex, if you can afford it. A dose of .25mg/ED should work for a low dose. This will keep the water off, and allow you to put on more mass than eq/winny alone.

AS for the diet, one thing i noticed was that you have no post-workuot meal. You should take some sort of supplement immediately after your workout that is high in high GI carbs, and also has a good amount of protein in it.

As for your workouts. How long are you in the gym for? How many sets per workout are you doing? I would aadd another workout day in there per week. And split your chest and back into different days...those are two large muscle groups, and you are probably pushing a good amount of weight around during those workouts. Try pairing a large muscle group with a smaller one each day. For example, Chest and Bis (or tris if you prefer).

Another reason to add another day is because AS decreases the time needed for recovery between workouts, and reduces the time it takes for your muscles to fatigue during each workout. SO upping the volume, and decreasing the time between workouts would be something you might want to do. Don't go too high on intensity if you do this.

Just some things to think about.
