Opinion on Fluffernutters

I am new to the fourms and trying to help my girlfriend eat cleaner. Almost everyday she has "fluffernutters" for lunch. They consist of marshmellow fluff and peanut butter (not the natural kind) on 2 pieces of whole-grain bread (the higher fiber kind). That is all she has for lunch. I keep trying to tell her that it is not that healthy to eat that everyday because it is loaded with carbs and sugar and does not have that much protein.

What do you guys think of this choice for lunch? She does not like turkey breast and it picky about what she eats. I want to let her know what other people think of what she is eating. I know already that this is not a good choice but would like some other opinions.

Her main goal is to lose body fat. She is 5'6 130lbs and around 22-23% BF.
 
Hmmm, that may be a good bulking idea :D

Seriously if she wants to lose weight she needs to say goodbye to the pleasures she now enjoys including fluffernutters.

You aren't going to change your body by not changing your diet. The first things that need to be eliminated are the junk foods and Fluff sure as hell falls into that category.

Tell her to get rid of the Fluff and just have PB.

plug your girl into the women's board- lots & lots of good info on dieting, fat loss, etc..
with a name like 'Fluffernutters', it's got to be good- however will not promote fat loss
we are what we eat--> fluffy food=fluffy bod
 
Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, my girl is not that computer savvy and does not really use the internet too much. I have been looking for her and forwarded a lot of very good info her way. I already knew that these sandwiches are bad news, but I wanted to let her know what other people think. She has a good workout routine, but she needs a little work with her diet.
 
hehehe...FLufferNutter....then name alone makes me giggle.....Tell girlie girl that you are what you eat....marshmallow=St. Puff girl.....ever see Ghostbusters.......nothing but sugar...sugar...and more sugar....

Nutrional value....not a gosh darn thing, unless you starvin' marvin and just need calories or you will die....if you have the choice....choice better:)

Wow, it sounds like your girl friend eats like shit.
Just tell her if she wants to avoid turning into a gigantic fatass she has to give up the fluffernutters.
 
Thanks for the input. I will let her know what you think of this wonderful food. She does not eat like shit. Her diet is for the most part rather clean. She just has to tweak it a little. Usually she will have a protein shake at 6:45AM 30 min after her morning workout routine, then at 9:30-10AM she has cottage cheese or yogurt sometimes with a piece of fruit. For lunch she will have (most of the time) one of those fluffernutters or she will go out and have a chicken dish with vegetables. Then around 3-4PM she will have a protein bar (low carb). She goes to the gym at 7:15 and then has dinner at 8:15(vegetable, some rice or potatoes, and egg whites or another protein source) then goes to sleep around 9:30. She tends to eat around 1300-1500 cal a day.
