Is it safe to have an operation while on steroids, or will they cause complications?

What kind of operation? You need to let your doc know. It could cause problems (bleeding, delayed healing) If you can stop before to let the drugs get out of your system as much as possible but I would definately tell your doc.

Im waiting for keyhole surgery for an inguinal hernia, so its nothing major.

Get off the juice first. Steroids will delay clotting times and you are more than likely taking vet gear like most of us do, which is not always the cleanest and most sterile, which will put you at a higher chance of getting infected post op. Gear and surgery DO NOT mix.

Ive never used vet gear, i always use human grade. Does this make a difference.

I agree, juice will have a negative effect on clotting times. Most definately during your pre-surgical testing they will detect this in your blood sample and delay your procedure. (not the gear, the clotting time)

I havent even got a date for my operation yet. Im just after feedback about this. How long will i need to be off the gear before my operation, so that my clotting times get back to normal. Can they not give you anything to thicken the blood, for the operation?

No, they will not give you anything to thicken the blood, only delay your procedure. How do I know this? Because I am having surgery on Tuesday and had to get my bloodwork done this week. I asked the hematologist the same question. I have been off everything for over a month, except for 20mg anavar and clomid. This apperently did not make a difference. Clotting was fine.

Depends on what you are on.

Im just doing primo at 200mg per week and winny at 50mg per day. Its near the end of my cycle now. deca and test were finished about 3 weeks ago.
