Only one testicle!

After reading up on a lot of different steroids I am concerned with my situation. Having been born with only one testicle, a.k.a one man down for life, born with a non-releasable penalty etc..... does anyone know if it is a good idea to even consider using steroids? The articles on testicular shrinkage and the like have concerned me. Is there a chance that my muscular development has been hindered? I have never had my levels checked. I have put on muscle though. The rest of me is fine. 6’2 195 tells me that I have not been completely shorted in the testosterone department. I am just wondering if I have been getting the short end of the stick regarding my muscular side.

It depends on what your test levels were at. It is possible that it would have no difference with 1 testicle if it is pumping test.
But even people with 2 nuts have the problem with shrinkage. It is a question you have to answer yourself. Are you willing to havwe a little shrinkage or are you not willing. Remember that these effects are reversable after discontinuing the sauce.
In short, get another test, see where your levels are and go from there.

Yeah but don't people with one testicle only produce about half as much testosterone as a person with 2 fully functional testicles?

Not always, over time people with 1 of what we usually have 2 of develope a sort of a super organ "all call it that for the time being"
There 1 takes up for the lack of 2. But this is not always the case. But it has been repoted. That is why I told him to have his T levels checked, then go from there.

i think his concern, is losing one permantly. that would leave him with 0. personally, i wouldnt do it if i were you. the mere chance would be enough. however, ive never heard of this unless it was a long cycle. one dieing that is. its up to you.

So why not use hcg on and off through out the cycle to prevent testicular atrophy?

im just saying, with one nut theres no backup so to speak. the whole deal is a serious thing to get into, throw this in and it just gets dicier.

Good point

I am 28 years old WarLobo. Not having a back-up is a concern. But I have not heard of any one losing a testicle due to steroid use, but I would think it would put a lot of stress on my one since it has to pull double duty so to speak. A test and some advice from the Doc are definitely in order.

Why take the chance?

A Long explanation.

I wouldn't worry about it. One testicle is 100% as functional and capable as two. One testicle has 350 million Leydig cells (i.e. test producing cells). Those cells are capable of producing far more testosterone than your body could ever use or in fact handle. The control of how much they produce is regulated by pituitary hormones primarily Luteinizing Hormone (LH). Thus your brain works like a thermostat determining how much testosterone is in your system at any given time and adjusting the levels as needed by signaling the testis to produce testosterone when needed. The gist being your testicle is more than man enough for the job. Now if you use AS for extended periods of time what happens is that your brain thermostat (hypothalamus) says "hey fellows wait a minute we are producing way too much juice- turn down the faucet". Thus your testis begins to produce less and less testoserone. It will not stop completely because there is an inherent minimum production that it will maintain. But, if this goes on for a long period of time, then the body's response is to say hey what do we need all those Leydig Cells sitting around on their bums for- they aren't doing anything so get rid of them- no welfare system in this body. Thus you could have minimal shrinkage in the testis which would be hardly noticeable to you physically if at all. Also key is that when you stop the AS the testis would once again start building up the production staff so to speak. So to answer your question- No you have not been hurt in any way by this condition. At 6'2'' 195 I would say you owe that testicle some serious praise- he is pulling his weight. I can think of know real risk to your testis from AS but of course that is my opinion and it is your nut. Just curious though, you say you were born with only one- that is very rare. Was it the case that one was resected at birth due to failure to descend or did you just only have one. If that is the case, I hope that you have had studies done (CT Scan) to ensure that you do not have an undescended testicle in your abdomen. The reason I ask is that there is a very high risk of malignancy (cancer) in undescended testicles. Anyhow hope this helps.

Wow

Thanks a lot ambolicintent! Very informative. I in fact had an undecended left testicle at birth. And at age 13 when they put in the implant they found the other testicle, which was very small and they removed it. After researching a lot of sources I am leaning towards a Deca Winny stack for my first cycle. This is something I read about deca, which does not worry me because I will only do 400mg a week. "When very high dos-ages are taken over a prolonged period, spermatogenesis can be in-hibited in men, i.e. the testes produce less testosterone." Thanks again for your insightful remarks.

I only have one nad and never had any problems. Shrinkage while on and then back after cycle. I know my one nad works good cause I was 5'11 200lbs before I ever juiced. You should be fine....

embolicintent !

Dude, that was one of the best descriptions I have heard in awhile. Karma to ya bro. I meant it that way, but yours sounded more technical. Props.
