maybe cause i'm not catholic, but i don't see that.
i mean, people are often more generous now, but.. 'tis the season for giving.

I find it to be artificial and fake. If you can't be nice thruout the year, why the hell pretend on a few days. It's bullshit - what does bullshit really mean.. Rathionalizing till u beleive it.

Having my kids is what puts me in the spirit...

I always give alittle to a charity to help for the needy a Christmas... This year we pulled together at my office and made donations to Two family's Single mom and kids.. and Gave the rest to a Safe House for Blankets.. Clothes.. Food.. Etc. For me giving.. be it little or big, is more fulfilling than receiving

I don't use it as an excuse... My company is very generous to me for christmas.. therefore I can give more then than any other time of the year. I give through out the year... family, friends, and strangers. It doesn't have to be material either.. sometimes just a smile or a kind word goes a long way.

i help sponsor a needy family at christmas too- its cold here now and its the time people just need more clothes, fuel, food, etc., and its easier for me to give now, so i do.
nothing phony about it, just doing what i can.
