Never found a real good answear to the questions if ALA actually would make one put on fat if taken with carbs and fat. Some say It actually would make you put on fat. One theory would be when you take ALA the body would easier store both carbs and protein and fat in your muscles, therefor one should avoid fat. Another theory would be that ALa works a bit like insulin, never mix insulin with fat. I do not know myself. I've been eating carbs with ALA, but then again I eat 100g oatmeal per meal and for some 3-4 times per day. The oatmeal I have per 100g is 59g carbs, 13g protein and 7g fat. So shoiuld I avoid eating ALa when eating oatmeal, and just take the ALA with very low fat meals, like rice and fish..?? anyone know??
