? on carbs in milk

i read that the carbs, sugars, found in milk are absorbed very slwoly actually slower than oatmeal, so when bulking it is ok to have it at night for the casein and not worry about the carbs. is this true of their absorption rate?

In isolation, Lactose does have a lower GI rating than other sugars in isolation. I think this is due to the gelactose in it. I don't think that eating it at night is a problem when bulking, but I'm not a milk drinker, so I don't how it feels to drink milk.

so then why are ppl always say avoid milk when cutting, if the sugars are absorbed slowy there seems no problem, except the fructose but that is only if you have a ton till fill up your liver glycogen by what i read?

I read in Franco Columbu's book that adults lack a substance called rennin that is needed to digest milk and that milk can make you look bloated. Now bloated for a guy that wants a six-pack and bloated for a world-class BB are two different things. I think I went to the extreme when I eliminated milk from my diet. There are plenty of guys running around that are ripped that drink lots of milk. But if you plan on being onstage in the next few weeks I would cut out the milk.

I have read something to the effect that some people either lack lactase or make very little of it. I think that I have also heard some mention this is a reason for milk causing bloating in some people.

One VERY important thing I believe lots of people forget is to supplement with calcium + vitamin D if you don't eat dairy! It's especially important for people who lift weights. A calcium deficiency can hinder fat-loss and make you weaker. Par Deus has spoken of some studies that show that a calcium deficiency can hinder fat-loss.
