On a Rental Car high..

I had to take the Mrs' GMC SUV into the shop for some Sched Maintenance, and they couldn't get it done this morning so they offered a Free Rental for the day..

They pick me up and of course are out of Mid Size cars and they ask if I want to pay $8 and upgrade.
Knowing the routine, I say No, and of course they bring around an upgrade anyway for free.

Real Nice Sebring Convertible.
I've never driven a convertible before..
He asks me if I want the top down and I say "heck Yea" as I have a Long 30 Min city drive to work and it's a Beautiful fall day..

I took the long way to work and plan of taking a drive at lunch and a long drive home.

My Daugher is gonna enjoy being dropped off at school with the top down tomorrow morning..

Yea, every time we have gone there for service, if they are not going to get it done in like 2 hours and you are waiting, they offer a car.. Even outside of factory warranty as her vehicle now is.

I've never been a convertible person, even though my best high school/college buddy had one. I just have this fear of flipping over and being decapitated.

but it was fantastic riding into work with it down this one time..

i like the idea of them but the insurance is more/ and they are slower too......and what dial_tone said.....roll one and you are dead as fuck

Also, I am noticing you smell exhaust real bad in traffic, especially at lights..

I took my Daughter for a spin around the neighborhood after working out and she said I was the best Dad ever..

I have to return it after work..

*jealous* of those that drive them every day, but I still think the Negatives outweigh the positives to own one.
Especially driving in traffic and here in Fl where 4 months out of the year it would be too hot to use without A/C
