One of my buddies from school is in a journalism class, and they had an editor from some celebrity magazine (I think it was In Touch) do a phone conference/ q&a with them. Well what he told me was this editor works for a magazine that gets all the dirt that the more "politically correct" and "proper" mags such as People and US Weekly etc. can't publicize for legal obligations made prior with the celebs as to what they can and can't publish. Believe it or not, the trashy mags, even though they have a lot of bullshit (Elvis sightings, bat boys, etc) the stuff they publish about celebs is real shit.
Anyway, when they had this phone conference, the editor had some scoop on Nick and Jessica- they're actually not together anymore. They themselves are simply feeding the public whatever they want them to believe. The bigger magazines like People are at the mercy of what the stars allow them to publish and nothing more, so the stories you might've read about them being together are fabricated bs by the couple themselves. This is why you never hear of anyone filing a suit against People or US Weekly or the like for whatever story, it's because it's pre-screened by the stars themselves.
And on top of that, one of the female editors from In Touch (if I remember the name of the mag correctly) met and interviewed Nick at some press function, and he asked her for a blowjob........and well, she gave it to him!!
So yeah, what you see on Newlyweds is a clever little front brought to you by the ever increasingly shitty Mtv.
