Flax seed oil is certainly the best known source of omega3s

but, are there others vegetable oils that contain much omega3s ?

wallnut, nut ,... ?

Bump......

As far as vegetable oils go, Flax is the only one with an ample amount of Omega 3's. Other vegetable oil's may contain small amounts of ALA, but not nothing close to flaxseed oil.
Walnuts are a good source of omega-6's. Here are some links, just incase your interested....

Also, at Netrition.com, there is a link named 'food nutrients'. Several food catagories are available to chose from. Fats and oils would be where to look, its basically the same thing as the first link, but just has the options layed out, so you don't have to search for them. Altough, it leave out some oils and some versions of them.

Thanks for the infos !

I was looking for a (good) alternative to flax seed oil with much omega 3s:p

I totally forgot about this, I Think Hemp oil, and other oils that are sold in the same area of the store as flax oil have a good omega 3 content too. I was looking at the netrition.com 'fat and oils' section thats why I didn't mention these.

Hemp oil is superior to flax in all omegas, but the taste is, well, hempy.

You usually have to go to a Whole Foods or some hippie oatbran/rice gluten store to find it, but it's worth the look.
