old school Ren & Stimpy is on..

no they toned it WAY down when it went to Nickelodeon.

Now it's way more adult, It ended with a tourtured frog killin himself.

Ren and Stimpy was way better when John K still had creative control and was voicing Ren. When Nick gave him the ax it was still funny but had lost a bit of an edge. Just wasn't the same :(

Who can forget the classic episodes like:

Rens Pecs
The Rubber Nipples ("call the poliiiiiiiiiiiice!")
Circus Midgets
Stimpy's Cartoon
Stimpy's Fan Club
The Dog Show
Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen

Ahhh the memories :) I read that he is doing a new series or a movie or something though that's got nothing to do with Nick. Should be cool!

what rolls down stairs, alone or in pairs and rolls over your neightbor's dog.
whats great for a snack and fits on your back... it's log log log!
It's log, log, it's big its heavy, its wood
it's log, log, it's better than bad, it's good!
everyone wants a log, you're gonna love it log!
come and get your log... everyone needs a log!

I can't believe i still remember the song... use to sing along to it.
What a sad life i am leading... :( :D :D :D

57 here, it's TNN the man channel.

I mean its old school cause it's way more adult oriented like it used to be, only more adult now.

I think its the same guy that used to do it before nickoloden.
seriously, it's funny like it used to be, if not more.

OoOoOo Sounds good! I love my cartoons :D

I'll never get to see it here though unless it goes to DVD or something. It takes Australia ages to get some of the newer shows from overseas, especially the cartoons, and I don't even have cable anymore! :bawling:

Kricfalusi DOES have his hand in this run...GET IT STRAIGHT HOMIES.

"To create the new episodes, TNN is expected to bring back series creator John Kricfalusi, whose sophisticated animation broke new ground — and whose gross-out humor predates Comedy Central's South Park. Kricfalusi had an acrimonious split from Nickelodeon in 1992 after clashing with management about the cartoon's content. (The network kept the show because Kricfalusi had sold it the characters.) "

"Kricfalusi, who provided the original raspy voice for Ren (including the catchphrase "You Eeee-diots!") during the 'toon's first season on Nickelodeon in 1991, will be handling vocal chores for the new episodes, which will be produced by his company, Spumco. Several of the show's original writers and animators--including Jim Smith, Richard Pursel and Vincent Walker--are also back for more.

"I am very happy to be back at work on what is one of my favorite projects," says Kricfalusi. "The whole gang is back--it's just like the old days--only ruder!"

"While everyone's all happy-happy now, things weren't so great between Kricfalusi and Viacom just a few years ago. Kricfalusi was fired during the show's second season in 1992, after butting heads with Nickelodeon executives who wanted him to tone down the show's gross-out humor (which paved the way for South Park) and trippy story lines.
