Old and injured. Help

Colzer

New member
I am 38 and have not taken anything for 10 yrs. I took 3 years off from the gym when I became a daddy and grew in the wrong spot (My stomach). I started back to the gym and made great gains, but I have screwed up my left arm below the elbow. My doctor gave me a cortizone shot in the elbow, but the pain is still in my arm not my elbow( upper side of the lower arm, not the forearm or elbow)
Has anyone had this type of problem?
Is there any thing to take to help work through the pain?
I have used Deca years ago with a shoulder problem and it helped, but I don't have any clue as to were to find anything today.
I am really frustrated with the set back.
Any advice would be appreciated.:mix:

Deca is a temporary fix...i'm approaching 50 this yr and injured my shoulder the best thing right now is rest..vitamins and MSM and glusomanine suflate available at any nutrition or gnc store...RADAR

also would like to add if you're getting into the iron game be sure to drink plenty of water..it keeps the body hydrated and provides lubrication for your joints!!! Good Luck!! RADAR

I feel your pain. When my wife was pregnant I think I matched her pound for pound gaining weight. For our second I kept training but it was hard with her bitching about time away from the family.

Like Radar says stay hydrated and take your supps. Warm up before you train, I walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes before stretching and warming up with the bare bar. Then I hit the weights.

Best of luck to you.

Remember, youth and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

i've got troubles with the knees and i use glucosamine sulfate, works great.Good luck.Deca can be a great help, but like radar said temporarely...

I get the same thing due to a nerve I damaged a few years ago. Flares up now and then, I ice it and take advil to reduce swelling. Basically though it just takes time for it to go away.
