let's put a little twist on all of this. when gifts are sent, no one puts their name or return address on the package. then once all packages have been recieved, we'll try to guess who sent what to who. it's an idea and it could be fun i guess. i dunno.

well, I thought about this Secret Santa thing, but I don't trust my personal information being handed out on the internet to just anybody. Who knows who's hands that information can land in? I could be sitting here at home thinking I sent out an xmas present to someone and I'm going to get one in return, but instead half of EF could show up at my house expecting me to entertain them, feed them, and get them all drunk. That could be a nightmare to try to entertain that many people all at once! I'd have to run to the computer and PM Gonelifting and ask him what to do, unless he showed up too, which would probably be my biggest nightmare come true.
I think i'm going to keep the EF C&C board as just that, a C&C board. I think there's a lot of people that feel the same way about this too, and I don't blame any of you. Seriously, how many people just want their real name and home address just floating around for someone they never met to get ahold of and trust them to send them something through the mail?
I think I'll just give the name and address of someone I don't like so they can recieve the bomb in the mail that was intended for me. At least then I wouldn't get blamed for what happened to someone I didn't like anyway

There is a way around your concern, Crak. Can`t type now, it`s tooearly ...making noise.
OK if you really wanted to be a part of the gift giving and receiving, you can theoretically get ONE person or more, that everyone can definately "trust" and send them the gifts with prepaid postage of course. Then this person (and they have to be willing to do a huge favor to everybody) would send out the packages to their recipients. So this one or two people will have everyone`s address instead of random people.
That`s a way around it. Not suggesting it be done, I`m not even involved in this fiasco, but that`s how it could be done and still be relatively "safe".
