Ok, let's get it straight now:

when you do HCG injections is it intramuscular OR sub-q?

I thought it was OK to do it sub-q and then last night I read that it must be administered intramuscular OR the body may not repspoind as well due to the loweed plasma peaks which occur 2hr after and 48-96hrs after the 1st injection, may not reach their peaks.

Is it more efficient intramuscular?

Profasi, probably the most common HCG on the black market, is "specified" for IM injection only. However, I, and many others, have used it sub-q with success.

Ovidrel (choriogonadotropin alfa) is a recombinant HCG that is the only such product "approved" for sub-q injection in the U.S. However, clinical studies have utilized sub-q HCG injections prior to Ovidrel's existence.

the instructions that accompany the box say IM, I would think they are correct.

i believe you are refering to ONE brand, pProfassi, i believe. the other brands like pregnyl do not say IM

Organon Pregnyl HCG...I did it Sub-Q and it worked great. I'll try it IM at the end of this upcoming cycle and see how that goes too. But I wanna say that the pregnyl box said Sub-Q

Bros -

some is intended for IM, some for sub-Q. It's not a huge deal - just do what the manufacturer specifies.

What if you have HCG with no instructions?

Based on the feedback here and some of my research, it can be either sub-q or IM.

Now what if you don't have any paperwork?

Therefore, my conclusion is to do it IM always and be safe.
