if you are looking at it from a science nutritional level, then props to you. if you are looking at it as a "how can i get wasted on the least amount of calories" type of thing, than LOL

Yeah. :)

The problem isn't the amount of calories. Alcohol (ETOH - ethanol - is the type of alcohol in all alcholic drinks - beer, wine, hard alcohol) is a VERY efficient source of energy for your body to use. When you drink, you're body uses the alcohol as fuel, and none of the food you eat. So all the food in your system that hasn't been metabolized is stored as fat.

Ever try working out the morning after drinking? You'll probably find that you will have alot of energy and feel pretty good until the hangover kicks in. I can't tell you how many times I set PR's (personal records) when lifting the morning after heavy drinking.

This info came from a former boss of mine. I managed my schools gym while I was in college...my boss was a PHd, and former Olympic skiing and cycling coach.

seriously bor that is right on...some of my best days have been hungover for sure...always with a lot of sleep though, never after a bender that ended after 4am

Yeah...its fairly well known that your body's sources of energy are
1. Carbs
2. Fat
3. Protein (muscle)

But when you drink, alcohol is the preferred fuel for your body. It would be great expect for all the negative side effects...being drunk, dehyrdated, ect.

I think it has something to do with the insatiable desire to go hit Denny's at 3:30 in the morning after a night of drinking... resulting in the consumption of several plates of breakfast food, right before passing out... or maybe that's just me....
