Don't rely on for vitamin C- BTW it is rich in added sugar (sometimes) and low in fiber
Do you count on that morning glass of orange juice for all of your daily vitamin C? Don't. Researchers at Arizona State University East tested several brands of ready-to-serve and reconstituted frozen concentrate to measure the vitamin C content. What they found: Oxygen destroys the vitamin in ready-to-drink juice while it sits on the supermarket shelf. So by the time you take the first swig, the vitamin C content might be below the label's claim. And once you open the container, the vitamin C content could drop to zero, depending on how long the juice stays in the fridge. One solution: Buy OJ that has at least three to four weeks to go before the expiration date.
