Oh man, contacts are fun

So, I made the mistake of rubbing my eye yesterday after I yawned, and my contact rolled back inside my eye. No biggie, this has happened before. I just go to the restroom with some saline to fish it out from my eyelid, and put it back in.

Problem is, this time, I can't find it.

I spend the next hour or so looking around my eye, trying to rub it back down, all to no avail.

Stop at the eye doctor on the way home, go inside, and explain to the 3 women at the desk what's happened. And they start to look more freaked out than I am. One of the girls said, "at least you're not panicking." I said, why panic, this has happened before, I just can't find it this time.

So they get the doctor, and I can tell everyone's more weirded out by this than I am. The doctor looks around my eye, and HE can't find it. Uses dye, even comes after my eyelid with tweezers. Says there's a rough spot on my cornea, and that must be what I'm feeling. Puts this ointment in my eye to prevent infection and help the rough spot. Nothing like having a goopy eye, let me tell you.

I go home, take out my left contact, and put my glasses on, and go about my business, all the while feeling this weird thing in my eye.

Woke up this morning, still there, so I was a little worried. Go into the bathroom, look in my eye, and lo and behold, here's a goopy white contact lens sitting on the upper portion of my eye. I got it out of there, rinsed it off, and put it back in after letting it soak for about 10 minutes. None the worse for wear!

Just thought I'd post this story, and see how many people I could weird out. :D

True story - A friend had the same thing happen - he had TWO lenses up in there.....

kyou weirded out me

ugggh......i could never handle the thought of contacts before, but now. behind your eye.....:xeye:

had the same thing happen to me; i gave up on contacts lenses and had LASIK done.

my only regret is that it wasn't available 20 years ago!!!!!!!

Well, the doctor was nice enough to reassure me that there was a layer back there, so it wouldn't go into my brain, which I already knew.

It was funny, because they were all trying to calm me down, and reassure me that everything was okay, and I was just fine. I've worn these things for 11 years, this was just a little more difficult.

Yo - who dat in that avatar - SEXAY.......and the chick ain't bad either....

lol, and thereby give the impression that the shit has really hit the fan :D

ha... I had one in my left eye for over a year.

To me Lasik is SHIT scary.
ive seen a bunch of eye operations from up close during an internship in the operating room and ALL cutting into eyes looks very very risky and the fact that the eye doc does like 10 a day doesn`t help either (those were lenze replacements not lasik)

Yep...it was in there for over a year. Finally it just rolled out one morning when I was going to put a pair in. Freaked me out! I thought it would have disolved by then.

Another classis is if you fall asleep with a Daily Wear lens in your eye and it dries and sticks onto your Eyeball....

Don't make the mistake of trying to peel it off. Just rinse and wait till it softens and comes off...

Jeez Wodin, that woulda freaked me out too!

I've slept in my daily wears, but they don't usually dry out. I just have to pull them out for a little while so my eyes clear up.

EWwwwww......:worried:

My eyes are starting to hurt just thinking about it.....

1) spatts is a hottie. or is it hotty? either way... hot damn.

2) this story made me want to stop clawing at my eyes. I nearly did for a second, but now back to clawing.

one day in high school a girl next to me in english class was freaking out to one of her "ohmygod" friends that her mom tried to take out her contact lens, but it was already out, so she fucked up her eye by pulling something else off or tearing it and she had to go to the hospital and stuff.
on the other hand, this girl had a really amazing body.
