official super bowl XXXIX thread

Lol

I think the Eagles will be back soon if this didn't break their spririts. They are probably the 2nd best team in the league. It was a great superbowl and I am happy the Patriots won and glad I didn't bet because they didn't cover. Still, the way Eagle handled the clock at the end made me think the fix was on.

Our Neighbor across the street owns a Audio/Video Events company and put up
a Huge Garage Door Sized screen HD projector and awesome audio system in his long driveway.

Setup a grill, food, drinks and lots of chairs. It was awesome..

I was at the game. It was awesome.

Mc Nabb did miss some open receivers, TO is the man, 'nuff said. NE is just a machine - they do what they need to do when they need to do it, and they do enough to win. They don't destroy teams, they just get the job done. Last night was no different.

NE was the better team, but Philly no doubt has the better fans...or at least the better fans at the game.

Even though Mcnabb looked pretty bad in this game, most teams would still take him. There arent that many good QB's out there.
I hope this puts to rest the "who would you rather have for one game" question. I was hearing alot of: Bradys only good because of the system he's in. Fuck that, no QB can win games by themselves, all you want out of a QB is to be error free, and be able to hit some tight passes.

Not me. I've been saying it all along. If you want to question Brady's greatness. Just look at the Patriots with Drew Bledsoe. He was pretty good. I know he's been to the pro bowl more than once the the Pats didn't win the big one with him and it was mostly the same team and coach.

Right, Bledsoe has the better arm, but doesnt always make good decisions. It's possible that other QBs are more physically gifted than Brady, with arms and legs, but he's got the brain as well.

How were the Philly fans at the game & outside the game (ie the tailgaters)?? Any incidents down there??

Philly fans were just funny. They were loud, drunk, obnoxious, but I did not see any (not even one) asshole incident involving Eagles fans...not justat the game, but throughout the Super Week. Pats fans were more like attendees at the Westminster Kennel Club annual dog show. The Boston people I know and love from the Red Sox / Yankees rivalry (loud, brawling Irish drunks, lol) did not show up for the Super Bowl.

I was talking to a friend of mine about something unrelated to the game (at the game) and I said the phrase "see what I mean?"

And this guy in Eagles hear head to toe comes over and he's like "Yeah, I see what you mean. You're afraid to wear your Patriots gear around us" (I was not wearing any team gear, I am a Giants fan).

I was like "Yeah you got me" and everybody laughed. They gave us beers. Cool guys.

Then I was talking to some girls from a nearby group and one of them was like "look at those guys hugging each other" and we all turned and looked at two guys in Eagles gear. They realized we were looking at them and they were like "We're from the city of brotherly love. What do you expect?"

eagles fans were much more fun to hang out with. lt was a big party for them. It was a ceremony for Pats fans.
