Office romance....can it work?

I have this ....."Situation" with a girl at work, well, she is the secretary and while I am not the company owner, I am her Boss. There has been this THING in the air between us for a while. I knew she liked me, but never really believed it or confirmed it. The last couple of months I have realised that I do really like her! Initially I didn't think she was my type, but her strong, independent nature and healthy active lifestyle has really won me over.
Well, on Tuesday, after the Melbourne Cup (Australia's biggest horse race) we were back at my place and on thing led to another and we kissed, then we spent the night together in my bed (no sex) I really liked it and so did she. I guess you could say it is out in the open, between us anyway. We have decided to keep it quiet at work for now (which is hard as I want to kiss her when I see her!) But I am still not convinced this will work. The whole working together and being together thing.

What do you think?

Shit man it sounds good to me. As long as she has a good head on her shoulders and isnt the type to fuck things up go for it. But man I can tell you one thing if you fuck up you will have to see everyday. But then it could be your future wife. if you dont go for it you lose.
 
Very dangerous game you're playing. Mixing business and pleasure. It could work out, but if it doesn't it could be a very nasty situation. I don't date people where I work, I've been tempted several times and have given in a few times in the past. It makes for a very uncomfortable situation when you have to see them every day after it didn't work out. Your situation could get much worse, hope not.

Personally, I have a rule where I'll never date a co-worker.

Of course, it helps that all the women I work with are fat or old. :D

Ideal romances are few and far between. Her being a co-worker is just one of many difficulties bound to be tied into any romance. I'd do the math myself. If the benefits outweigh the risks then............

Personally...I recommend just getting a blowjob. Clinton was very experienced in these matters and he decided this was the best thing.
 
Much of your decision and feedback comes for us workers here in the US. The laws here are very hard on men bosses that mess with subordinants.

I never fish from the company dock. However, if you really thought she was special and she could be the one, then it might be worth consideration.

He, he ....... I think you're right. It does happen often enough!
As for backing a winner, nup! I should have backed Henry the fucking pony! I didn't win all day...... but I did indulge in another favourite Australian past-time, Beer, drinking lots of Beer!

But I guess on the other hand, I did go home a winner!

Ha, ha, ha ,ha .........good point! I just might see if I can eh? Imagine that.... I’d actually look forward to going to work!

At least now I don’t' have to worry about getting busted checking out her ass, or her.... cleavage! And today I didn't feel like I was doing anything wrong when I said "you look great in black pants!" Expect we can't get too close, not that it is not allowed, but my boss did warn me off her once befor, and the other employees would shave a field day with it as one of them once said that we would end up together.

It is pretty exciting though! I just hope I wasn't attracted only to the challenge. Know what I mean?

But really she is a great chick! Active, adventurous, does Karate, is getting her dive license this weekend, like skydiving, surfing, gym, is joining the army reserves as an MP........ I think this chick would not only keep up with me but also give me a good go at anything. That’s what I like!
 
The only real problem, and it's a serious one, is that you are her BOSS.

If the relationship goes well, at some point your co-workers WILL find out. If this happens then it will look like you are giving her special treatment (regardless if it's true). Her peers will be mistrustful of her and you. And your bosses and peers will think you are unethical.

If the relationship goes bad, then at best, it will be an uncomfortable situation. At worst, she could say there was some kind of sexual misconduct on your part.

If you are both serious about this, I suggest that you try to get her, or yourself, transfered so that you are no longer her boss. And you should make the relationship known earlier than later.

If you are going to pursue a relationship with this girl then she needs to move to another position in the company. You've put yourself in a very unstable position as it is. If I were your boss I would smack you upside the head with a quartlery report and then ask you if she's good in bed then have her transfered to another dept.
