If you are not cycling and still having water retention get some blood work done. Especially liver values. If your ALT is only slightly elevated get a hep C test. There are ones you use saliva and send it in you don't need to go to a doctor. Or you can use direct labs for all of this. They can do your blood work and if you have elevated ALT you can have them do a blood test for the Hep C antibody.
You can find out about all of this without going to a doctor and having your health insurance go up, if you have any. Or if you find out that you do have hep C you can get health insurance without telling them. Then wait six months to a year then go in for evaluation. Then have the health insurance cover the cost of treatment.
