I went to McSmurfy's yesterday to return a movie to the RedBox kiosk there, it's the closest one to my place.
On the way there's a ''daily pay'' temp jobs place. Every single person out front of that place was white, middle aged, and drinking what appeared to be coffee.
When I got to McSmurfy's I was approached by two people to give them some change... neither were white.
I dont fucking get it. Nearly all the time someone in my neighborhood asks for change(for a hamburger or bus money), it's a black bum. It's very seldom a white person, or a hispanic person. There's a hispanic woman who lives a couple buildings over from me who works at mcdonalds. A lot of the time if I'm out riding my bike in the morning I see her walking to work.
Dunno what I'm really getting at, but these disparities seem to replicate themselves on a daily basis.
