They still have my flight booked Both Delta and Orbitz is saying that the airport is gonna open.

don't these people watch the news? Didn't they see the water on the runway, the fact that there is NO electricity, the huge holes in the ceilings and the destroyed terminals.

I was waiting for them to send me a cancellation and i get a reminder that my plane is leaving at the set time. So now I have to sit on the phone for no telling how long to get this cancelled.

The BEST not charge me for the cancellation either. Even if the air port opens, I can't get to it.

The flight is cancelled HOWEVER they will not refund the ticket price, they will only waive the reschedle and processing fee and I HAVE to reschedule my trip before the 30th of Sept.

Baton Rouge, Alexander, and Lafayette are I believe. I was gonna change it to fly out of either BR or Lafayette so that I could go this weekend

but it would have cost me an an additional 700 for the tickets

I prolly won't be able to go till maybe Christmas or Thanksgiving. If I cancel the tickets they won't refund me. If i have to push it beyond their Sept 30th deadline they will charge me 80.00 a ticket to reschedule

If i transfer to Houston its even more than 700.00 they won't put me on a different airline either

So I'm just stuck with them one way or another. And I have to use the tickets in a months time or end up paying another 80 per ticket to reschedule.

they are saying it will take weeks i have even heard months and longer to fix all that has been damaged and to get NO up and running again..the pumps are too old and are not going to be able to handle pumping the water etc.....
see if you can fly out of a airport around you at the same price as your previous bought ticket..if not just calmly let them know that you will contact who ever and will report this so that no one will want to use their services....
